Santa's Hat and Sincere Wishes

Hi,

I hope you are all ok ? and I can't believe this is Harrison's last weekend of school holidays and as of 2nd September, he will be going back, it will be the first time since Friday 13th March, but we are grateful, that he has been taught every day by his teachers, via Google Hangouts, to be honest I think the only thing he has missed is the sport, as he is sports mad 😃

Today is the start of a new Challenge at https://scrapsoflifebyscrappymo.blogspot.com/ Rudolph Days Challenge, which starts today and ends 31st August and all you have to do, is make a Christmas card

Image : Penny Black - 'Santa's Hat / 4283K / 2012'
Fur round hat : Stampendous - 'Fuzzy Fun Flock'
Paper (an old pack) : DCWV - 'Rose Tinted Christmas'

This one is using the Harlequin design, the lovely Di shared on her blog and sometimes, I don't know about you, but I'm never shaw what to do with a large sentiment, so this design was absolutely perfect

Sentiment : Penny Black - 'Sincere Wishes / 2480H / 2002'
Papers (again a very old set ) : Dovecraft - 'Tis The Season'

Stay safe and well, and thanks for looking and for any comments, you would like to leave, would be most appreciated, Luv Sam x

Hi Sam,
Happy Rudolf Days.
What very gorgeous cards and that first one has such a very sweet image.
Beautidful papers used and gorgeous design.
Your second one has such a very lovely sentiment on it as it's main feature, and also wonderful paper used too.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Your first card is so pretty! The image is adorable and coloured so nicely too. That fur looks real to me...
The colours of the design paper look great, I love the look of the pink and grey theme.

The second card is lovely. That sentiment deserves to be front and center. I shall have to check out Di and see the other example you mentioned. The present paper here looks great!

Our grandkids go back to school the day after the Labour Day weekend. They will go off camping again for that long weekend and have one last hurrah before school. They will go with the same two families they camped with since they expanded the social bubbles here.
There are only two other children and they are great about social distancing. They are all careful with each other. No food sharing or visiting inside...It is interesting to sit and watch them play as they are all quite cautious with each other...
Even on the canoes, kayacks and paddleboards, they keep the 6 feet distance while in the water. We have a three man tube and Al always takes the boat up there for the families to use. This year they had to go one kid at a time in the tube and then wipe it down before they got off the tube. Luckily the boat is 22 feet as you need a driver and a spotter who watches the tube and child for problems. So even inside the boat, they were able to keep 6 feet and more even, away from each other.

If the Covid vaccine is made and you ever come back to the West coast of Canada again, make sure it is summertime and Al can take your son out tubing too! There are always various sixes of lifejackets available for guests!

Two really super cards Sam, I just love the first card with all the pink and the cute Hedgehog, super papers too. The second one the papers are great and the design you have used really sets them off, great sentiment too. I have no problem with large sentiments as I avoid using them.
My Grandson's go back a week later Austin on the 7th as he is a new starter at Grammar School, and they have them go in first to show them around the school and such like, they do not do any work. and Ethan goes back the day after, when the term really starts, he will be in his last year, such a gap between them.

Gorgeous crds Sam. You might know I adore the hedgie one - it's pink and also one of my most loved Penny Black stamps! Did you know there's a die now out for the same stamp? And needless to say, I LOVE the Fuzzy Flock and had to run off and order some. I've used the stuff you heat and it puffs up previosly but it's so easy to get a pale brown tinge like a meringue! This looks so much better - huge thanks for the idea.Hope you're well - miss you in the Playground. It's quieter thee days, possibly COVID is just getting people down a bit now.

Hugs

Di xx

What a sweet little fella that hedgie is with his over-sized hat Sam! Love the way you coloured him too. The second card is fabulous too with that bright paper and that lovely sentiment front and centre.

Hope Harrison enjoys getting back to school and being with his friends again :)
