Sleeping Fox And Dogs In The Snow

Hi,

I hope you are all keeping well and to be honest I'm so glad the weather has gone down a few degrees, especially as we spent last week in Cornwall - where Harrison went surfing for the first time and even managed to stand up 5 times, he was well chuffed, looks like we may have to go back next year ;-), as he now seems to have the surfing bug !!

I have 2 cards this month for the Rudolph Days Challenge, which starts today and ends 31st August, as Christmas is starting to slowly creep up on us, it gives you a good excuse to start, if you haven't already :

The image was originally sold as a free gift with the magazine Cardmaking and Papercraft, back in 2016, it was designed by Jennifer Ellory - I went to a 2nd hand sale and fell in love with it, along with the robin stamp it came with, so bought it for £1
Papers : Crate Paper - 'Snow Day Collection'
Sentiment : Penny Black - 'Christmas Treasures / 30-019 / 2008'
Corner : Die-versions - 'Pine Corner Concepts'
Pine Cones : Britannia Dies - 'Small Pine Cone'

My second card was made, when Alan and I had a cheeky weekend away crafting with Kay, Kelly and Sandra, whilst Harrison was at Scout Camp
All the product were care of Kay, the secret window die, is 'Lawn Fawn', but can't remember the sets I used for the dogs or secret messages

Thanks for looking and for any comments you would like to leave,  I would be most grateful, Luv Sam x

These are both fabulous, Sam! I love the adorable look of both of them. While here in Scottsdale I am not getting all my emails. Yours and my husbands have not come through! His was resolved by telephone but I didn't quite know what to do to retrieve yours and then I realized I could read your blog when 'i got up this morning and save your cards to my computer and then add you back into the post! So hope you do not mind that you had to wait till I woke up!

The wee fox stamp is such a sweet story. I love finding stamping bargains at the 2nd hand sales. We have some well known ones here. About 30 tables with ladies selling their unwanted supplies. There are about 4 or 5 each summer and they are right in the paper craft stores parking lot!

The Lawn Fawn card is darling. Those foxes are sweet and I like the way you made your card into a scene!

I love your sweet foxy and puppy cards, Sam! That sleeping fox is so sweet and I love your background pp! Your Howlidays card is sensational with that bright red and the textured white snow for the dogs to frolic in! What a fantastic interactive card!! Hugs, Darnell

Such sweet images on both your cards Sam. The fox snuggles perfectly inside that sweet heart shaped wreath. And the dogs frolicking in the snow is so adorable. Love the bright red card to really make the other images pop. Looks like you've incorporated a wheel that gives different images?? The gingerbread man in the dog dish is SUPER CUTE! Loll :)

Hi Sam,
Happy Rudolf Days.
what delightful designs that little fox in the first is so cute and cuddly.
Your second one is a great idea the secret window and the dogs playing about on that snowy scene all dressed up for the holidays.
I have a secret window die which I haven't used yet.
So after seeing your lovely card I must use it don't you think.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

What fabulous cards Sam! I especially love that fox image, so sweet. The papers you used on it looks so retro. The pine cones in opposite corners are just the added touch. Then there is your puppy card, I am totally smitten with it! Love that it is an interactive card, but am also just loving those sweet pups. Good for Harrison for surfing-I am not even brave enough to even get in the ocean water. Too many critters in it and too deep. lol Glad he did well with the surfing, that is something that looks very hard. Hugs, Brenda

Lucky you to be able to visit in Cornwall. What a lovely place that is! Fabulous buy on your little fox, he looks so sweet tucked in the heart wreath, with some cute papers as background. Those little puppies are adorable too, and the snowhills have some great texture. It's a delightful action card with some cheery holiday bright colors. TFS
