Gee what a scorcher and we took advantage of the weather on Saturday and had a 'Quintessentially English' day out - we first went to  Lordington Lavender, then had a pub lunch, then we went to a local Church fete, where H played croquet and crazy golf, then it was a cream tea.

I made this card about a month ago, when the weather wasn't so good, but it seems perfect for now !!, the image is : Penny Black - 'Hedgy Flavor / 2354F / 2002', the papers are : Dovecraft - 'Back To Basics', the sentiment is : LOTV - 'Sentiment Tags', the corner die is : Joanna Sheen - 'Lace Corners 1', the ribbon and gems are from stash. The card design is a new one for me, but i love how it frames the image.

Woodland Wonder

Hi,

We have been very busy at the moment, last weekend we went to Sparks In The Park in Horsham, where local charities and clubs showcase themselves and Harrison found a Canoeing group and can't wait to go, so tonight he will being having a trial. I thought i would take advantage of Harrison still at school for another 7 days, by having a play.

Across The Threshold

I'm scheduling today's post, as we are currently cycling (with Clio, she has a dog carrier, that goes on the back of Alan's bike) in the New Forest, as Harrison has an inset day at school tomorrow.

Alan and I were invited to an ex-colleague of Alan's wedding last month and this is the card i made for it, taking in their colour combination, the image is : Penny Black - 'Across The Threshold / 257H / 1997', which has been highlighted with : Duvo - 'Glitter Drops' (but i'm not sure if it shows up very well), the papers are : DCWV - 'Wedding Mat Stack', the 'I Do' ribbon is : K I Memories, the plain one is from stash, the sentiment is : LOTV, the hanging hearts : Memory Box - 'Precious Hearts', the die behind the flowers is : Memory Box - 'Elegant Scrollwork', the punched heart edge is : Martha Stewart - 'Valentine Heart', the flowers are from : Wild Orchid Crafts, the heart pearls were from my stash.

Hi,

Alan and I are child free this weekend, Harrison has gone off, for his first Cub camp under canvas and as i still haven't bought a hoover yet, i will be crafting tomorrow, yipee and tomorrow night we are off to see Samantha Barks - she was 'Eponine' in 'Les Miserables' the movie and in my opinion should have got the Oscar instead of  Anne Hathaway.

I learnt to do this technique in a recent crafting class and  is very diffferent for me !!, the image is: Penny Black - 'Thoughtfulness - Pansy / 740K / 1997', was coloured using : Distress Inks - 'Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters, Stormy Sky, Old Paper, Milled Lavender and Wilted Violet', i then stamped the image on vellum and heat embossed : Stamp Stuff - 'Crystal' and then stuck it on top of the coloured image.  The background was made by : wiping some Distress Ink - 'Wilted Violet' on my mat and adding Imagination Crafts - 'Clear Stencil Medium' and then spreading over a stencil by Jaime Echt and finished off with some ribbon from my stash.

A Wish For All Tme

Hi,

We seem to be jinxed in this house, since we have come home from our holiday -

1) TV remote control no longer works - so everytime we have to switch it off / on or adjust the volume, we have to get up and do it !!

2) Hoover motor blew up and am off to buy a new one tomorrow at John Lewis, looks like we are going for a Miele one

3) a new jar of mayonnaise fell out of the cupboard - glass and mayonnaise everywhere and no hoover to pick up the little of glass either !!

The shape of this card is a 'Front Step' and it was shown in the Quick Cards magazine last July and i've been meaning to make it for ages.  The image is : Penny Black - 'A Wish For All Time / 3907J / 2008' - i've embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder, while the image is stamped normally. The papers are : Basic Grey - 'Nordic Christmas', the blue paper is embossed with : Cuttlebug Embossing Folder - 'Swirls', the die is : Cheery Lynn - 'Fanciful Flourish', the silver ribbon and blue pearls are from my stash.
