All Wrapped Up

Hi,

I'm going to keep todays post short and sweet, as i'm finding it difficult to type as both my index fingers are swollen and my wrists hurt - off to see 'Quack' tomorrow to see if she can find a solution - she'll probably say it's a knock on effect of my knee !!!

I won this image ages ago and yet i don't stamp her up very often, but i thought she would be ideal for a 'Winter' challenge, as she looks snug as a bug in her coat and muffler - i've used for the first time my fabby Bo Bunny papers and Memory Box Snowflake Corner (i'd never heard of them, till my friend Janice mentioned them and now i can't get enough of them), the snowflakes are a mixture of dies and punches and to finish off i've added some gems and ribbon.

Hi,

I had a wonderful massage last night and i'm feeling great - my thick support is working wonders, to help tighten everything up.

Today's card is using a stamp that i thought would make great boys cards,  but have not stamped up yet, first time out for the  papers and sentiment too, the corners have been made using my MS - basic photo corner, that i really don't use often enough and the twine was from a Ben Sherman tag, that was attached to my son's jacket from T K Maxx.

Balloon Madness

Hi,

Well i'm officially a doughnut / muppet !!! - went to physio and she gave me some exercises to do, was supposed to have a massage on thursday, but it got cancelled by the woman at the last minute and i was so gutted, - well that evening i tripped over son's scooter and i went one way and guess what - yes my knee went the other way !!!, so it was a trip up to the local minor injuries clinic yesterday, they x-rayed it, there is nothing wrong with the bone or cartilage, so i have a ligament problem, so i'm now wearing a very sexy support !!!.

Today's card is for one of son's girly friends from school, who is having a party next week. I find this stamp is rather large, so i decided to stamp it and cut it out individually, then paper piece the spotty paper onto the balloons, added a sentiment and a 5 in the middle, finished off with purple gems- it is supposed to be Lilac, but the photo looks more blue, so i may have to take another photo tomorrow.

Hi,

Well would you believe it, 2 posts in 2 days - don't worry it won't last, as i have the physio tomorrow and a massage on Thursday.

For those of you, who are familiar with this stamp - you will realise that the toads are not swinging flowers around , but i wanted to make it into a boys card for a change, so i used star brads instead and my favourite boys papers Echo Park - Little Boy - to carry on the stars theme i've cut out some stars using my spellbinders nesties, embossed the plain paper and added a stars border.

Hook, Line & Sinker

Hi,

Firstly i must apologise for the 'The Boring Bit' i have had to add to my blog, but it seems that a couple of people are taking my ideas and using them, without my permission, even though i now paint my images with my name on them.
We had a lovely Saturday, we had lunch with son's best friend, her mum and brother, then we went to an Epiheny at their church, where the kids dressed as kings and queens and  played games. Yesterday my OH had the job of putting all the Lego kits together that son had got for Xmas and Birthday presents !!!

For todays card i've used a new stamp and sentiment, that i got in the Sir Stampalot sale - i thought the stamp would be versatile, as i could use it for men's cards as well, by hanging a fish from the line. For a change, i decided to hunt out my kraft card, as i feel it was a better backing for the fabby BG papers. I've embossed the plainer bits of paper, to lift them.

Gift Hedgy

Hi,

Well i hope you all had a good New Year - OH and i went to see 'Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol', as for a change we had a free babysitter (we were in Yorkshire and Grandad did the honours), but we were home in time for the fireworks, as Whisper is scared. Well something things don't change my knee is not good again, so it's back to the physio next week, oh joy and i've also managed to some how pull the muscle in my shoulders, so typing is not easy !!!

I had to make a card to thank friends and family for son's Christmas and Birthday (he was 5 on 3rd Jan) presents, so this is what i came up with - although next year i will have to come up with a simpler idea(I've had to make 5 of this design), as next year he is having a party (we decided after the cost of the cruise a party, was one expense to much).  I decided on this stamp and found some old papers that i have in both 12x12 and 8x8 !, gem stars were ones i've had ages and the sentiment is taken from a transparent set i bought in a sale last year.
