Stitch A Snowflake

 Hi,

I hope you are all well and enjoying the gorgeous summer weather we have been having here in the UK, I must confess a times it's been a little too hot - that is when I hibernate in the house, although when we had 38C heat here in Cornwall, I wasn't even able to make cards, as the ink was taken an age to dry !!. We managed to get away for a Mediterranean cruise, which was very hot, but at least we had air con, which made such a difference.

Today is the start of the wonderful Christmas card Challenge run by the lovely Maureen Rudolph Days Challenge and as time is quickly catching us up, I thought I had better make 2 cards this time, using the same die, which was kindly given to me, as a present.

Snowflake Die : Penny Black - 'Stitch A Snowflake - 51-376'
The Smaller Snowflake : Spellbinders - 'Snowflake Wonder (one of 5 dies)'
Brad in the middle : Dovecraft
Sentiment : Penny Black - 'Snow Wishes - 51-082'
Papers : Quick Cards, came free with a magazine

Snowflake Die : Penny Black - 'Stitch A Snowflake - 51-376'
The Smaller Snowflake : Spellbinders - 'Snowflake Wonder'
Brad in the middle - I didn't have a gold one, so found a plain one and embossed it, using gold embossing powder.
Paper : First Edition - 'Gilded Winter' - the paper I picked is already embossed with sparkly gold snowflakes
Sentiments : Lili Of The Valley - 'Christmas Tags'
Gold Thread from stash

Thanks for looking and for any comments you would like to leave, would be most appreciated, Luv Sam x

2 lovely cards with that beautiful snowflake die, our weather still warm but humid with a few outbreaks of rain to keep our grass green lol xx

Stopping over from the Rudolph Challenge. I really like both of your cards. Such a different feel between the burnished gold one- that looks vintage- and the shiny silver one- that looks a bit retro! I also recognized the sweet little LOTV tags on the gold one. I have a few of their tag sets and use them quite often! TFS from Kathy Asper at myasperations.blogspot.com/

Two gorgeous cards Sam! I confess,I had to rush off and order the 'Let it snow' die - it's really lovely! And, the backing paper on your lovely gold card was so familiar - then I remembered I too have that gorgeous paper pad! Just read back a few posts and you've certainly had a lot going on!

Hi there. ! Your cards are both stunning! I love the way you have given each one a distinctive beauty of their own.
That was a great idea to colour the brad! I have been trying to use up various sizes of brads in my scrapbooking as I have so many, and they are certainly cheaper to use up rather than buying enamel dots.

Your cruise sounded wonderful. And a great idea to escape that hot weather. We have had it hot over here too! You are right about it being exhausting...

Off to draw the prize and start commenting. We had specialist appointments in the city today!

Hugs and thanks for all your inspiration and hard work. Let me know if you have any leads on a 4th person to add to our team. I did not have any response so far to my appeal...
Hugs
Maureen
