Catch A Star

Hi,

Three weeks ago i got very emotional as my Rheumatoid Arthiritis was starting to hurt me again and it hasn't done that in 3 and a half years, so we had a look at the dog rescue website - we found a brown and white collie (who was a year old), but when we got to the rescue centre she was gone, they asked us if we still wanted to walk a dog, we said yes and they came out with 'Clio', the first thing she did was jump up at Harrison and cuddle him, with that we were hooked and 12 days ago after a lot of grief from the home checker, she came home with us - (now the tissue time, sorry) she was found dumped in a ditch pregnant in Co Kerry, Ireland, she unfortunately lost the puppies and they still don't know how she survived, she also has a scar on her back, from being burnt, but she is the most loving adorable Labrador Collie X (she is 1-2 years old), you would ever want to meet and absolutely loves children and she has made our house a HOME again.

chilling out in the conservatory

Photo bombing Harrison's school project
Now on the card, the image is : Penny Black - 'Catch A Star / 2094E/ 2002', the papers are pearlescent : Craftwork Cards - 'Tis The Season', the circle shape is : Go Kreate - 'Plain and Scalloped Circles', the star circle is : Memory Box - 'Starry Wreath', the shooting stars is : Memory Box - 'Beloved Stars', the adhesive stones are from : Kars, the ribbon is from my stash.

Ah bless her, can't abide animal cruelty and you never realise how empty your home has been until a four legged friends becomes part of it.Happy you have found each other

Oh Sam, the starting point has to be Clio, many years ago we also had a Clio, one day a friends lab much to their surprise presented them with a litter of pups. Nobody ever knew who Dad was so of course they had to find loving homes as they had no pedigree. She was lovely as I am sure you Clio will be and already she looks at home.

I shudder when I see some of the animal rescue stories on TV, it's beyond comprehension how people can be so cruel. We lost Alex's (our youngest) boy Bernie, the rescue St Bernard's last month and he has left a very big hole in the family.

Sorry to gabble on and should say what a super card. Also I do hope your RA soon improves, nothing worse that pain day in and out and I hope Clio will list your spirits. I went back to the pain clinic last week as my MS is also having a hissy fit and going to have more targeted spinal injections.

Take care and enjoy the new family member.

Oh Sam, Clio needed a loving family, and your family needed a fur baby to love, perfect match. May all your hearts overflow with love. Hope your RA settles down too. Whisper would be proud of you all. She is beautiful, happy new beginnings............

Gorgeous card Sam, loving the star dies you have used.
Clio is beautiful, still amazes me how people can be so cruel, my sister has always worked with animals, RSPCA/vets, I don't know how she does it. She has some real horror stories....Take care. Sue x
