Warm Wishes Reindeer

Hi,

Oooo what a busy week we had for half term - the sawing down of trees was interesting espeially when H started using one, with a volunteer (gee they were braver than me). On Saturday i met up with a friend in Southampton and we went to see 'The Bodyguard', which was absolutely brilliant - we saw it with Zoe Birkett, instead of Alexandra Burke (as she doesn't do matinees !!).

I so love the older Penny Blacks and this one is no exemption : PB - 'Warm Wishes Reindeer / 337H / 1997', highlighted with glamour dust, I have so admired the way the lovely Sue uses the : Die-namics - 'Stitched Rounded Rectangles', that when she left a post on facebook, that it was free P+P at Dies To Die For, i just had to go and treat myself ;-), the papers are a set that i bought about 18 months ago and never used !! : Prima - 'North Country', the snowflakes are : MB - 'Precious Snowflakes', covered in glitter, the pearls are : Hobby House - 'Chocolate Heaven'.

Nature's Friends

Hi,

Alan and I had an absolutely fabby time at 'Phoenix Nights' starring Peter Kay and rest of the team, we are now back at home and H is at holiday club today, tomorrow we are going to a Nature Reserve to do den building and fun outdoor things, then Friday is 'Shaun The Sheep'.

I recently did a class at The Glitter Pot and whilst there we made 2 cards and as there was some time at the end, we were allowed to play and i made this : I firstly Distressed the card using : Tim Holtz - 'Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon and Festive Berries', i then masked half of : Penny Black - 'Woodland Wonder / 40-356', and stamped it, then masked off of the half and stamped again, then masked off both sides and stamped a bit more across the bottom, the deer and birds are from : Penny Black - 'Nature's Friends / 30-261', the sentiment is : Woodware - 'Tiny Phrases'. I'm so glad i did the class as i so admire our lovely DT coordinator Brenda, but i was just a little apprehensive about making scenes.

Party Pup

Harrison's day at after school club got swapped to yesterday, so it enabled me to have a little play, before half term starts - today we are driving to Yorkshire for a couple of days, as Alan and I have managed to get tickets to see Peter Kay in 'Phoenix Nights' at the Manchester Arena on Sunday night, which i'm really looking forward to, as i think he is so funny.

Hearts Away

Hi,

We had a fabby time at Cirque Du Soleil - Kooza on Saturday and we had a box on the 2nd tier directly opposite the stage, so we couldn't have picked better seats, if we had tried - although during a couple of the stunts my heart was in my mouth !!

On Saturday we are off to The Royal Albert Hall to see Cirque Du Soleil - 'Kooza', it's a belated Birthday present for Harrison and we are all looking forward to it, as we are huge Cirque Du Soleil fans.  I was supposed to upload this morning, but for some reason my laptop wasn't having any of it - now my Superhero Alan (well that's what he told he was !!) has fixed it ;-) x

Chalkboard Grateful - Penny Black And More

I'm glad to report that a night with Brendan Cole (Strictly Dancing fame) was definitely 'A Night To Remember' (and that was the name of his show), we were 3 rows from the front, right in the middle and at one point he came on in a very tight pair of trousers - that left nothing to the imagination and my 2 friends eyes were almost out of their sockets on springs ;-) !!!
