Hi,

I hope you are all ok and keeping warm - here in Sussex we actually saw some sun - i nearly photographed it, in case we don't see it again !! H breaks up from school today for 2 weeks, so i'm not sure when i'll get another card made, as usual we have lots of fun things planned - beginners birdwatching, a Jacqueline Wilson exhibition, with craft activities - on at a local museum, a day of playing sports and this weekend he wants to got to Mercedes World at Weybridge, as he wants to see Jenson Buttons F1 car from last year.
Oh well i better go, as i can hear Alan calling me - he has got the day off and we are going out to lunch.

I don't really do Easter cards, so when i saw there was a couple of 'Pink' challenges, it gave me a good excuse to use this super image, that my lovely friend Janice sent me and i've never got round to using, till now  !!, the papers and sentiment are Pearlescent (not sure if photo shows it up ?) from Craftshouse - 'Winter Wonderland', the corner dies are Memory Box - 'Snowflake Corner', ribbon is from 'The Ribbon Girls', gems are from 'Joy Crafts'.

Ice And Snow

Hi,

I hope those of you with snow are keeping warm and safe - we were supposed to be going up to Alan's dads in West Yorkshire at the weekend, but we have decided against it, as he say's the main road has 10 foot snow drifts.  It was parent's evening and reports home last week and according to H's teacher, he is an A star pupil and a pleasure to teach - he must get his brains from Alan, as it sure isn't me :-) .

Today's colours and embellishments are a little different for me - the papers are Bo Bunny - 'Snowfall Collection', the die i used for the poinsettas is 'Marianne D' - one flowers were cut with a furry card, i bought  ages ago, i think to make dogs ears !! the leaves and centre is Doodlebug - 'Bon Bon Chenille Crushed Velvet Cardstock', the ribbon is velvet from 'Dovecraft', Sentiment - PB - 'Crystalline', Gems - Papermania 'Mosaics'.

Wooly Dames

Hi,

Well the snow cleared very quickly, once the sun got to it, thank goodness.  This morning though we woke to a very wild and wet weather and i had an Arthiritis coffee morning to go to, as there was a talk by a Consultant / Researcher from Brighton Hospital and she was incredibly interesting and helpful, fortunately the rain subsided by the time i had to walk there.

Today's stamp is one i've had a long time (I'm trying to use, stamps, that i haven't used before), but never used, as i was a little unsure of what to do with it ?, but as there are a couple of Spring Challenges around, it gave me some inspiration !, the papers are Basic Grey - 'Urban Prairie' (which i don't use very often, but i'm glad i did for this one), the die is Marianne Creatables - 'Large Ovals By Petra' (which got partly paid for by a Challenge, that I won a couple of weeks ago), Leaves - Sizzix - 'Flowers, Leaves And Branches', Sentiment - LOTV - 'Tags', Ribbon - 'Stampin Up', Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts, Pearls - The Hobby House and ribbon brad from my stash.

It's Your Day !

Hi,

OMG - what a week so far !!. It started heavily snowing here at 4pm on Monday and by 4.50pm the pavements and road had a light covering and based on the fact i hate driving in the snow i decided to go and pick H up early from after school care, and we were home by 5.30pm - Alan on the other hand left London at 5.10pm (works next door to the Gherkin), got to Haywards Heath station at 6.20pm, rung me at 7.40pm to say he was still in the station car park !!, he finally made it home at 10.45pm, and we are only 18 miles from the station !!, basically he said, so many people had abandoned their cars and he was driving on snow covered ice!!
On Tuesday H's school was shut and Alan worked from home and then in the night H was bringing up bile, so wasn't able to go to school today, but he is ok now and is going back tomorrow.

When i saw this image, i just knew i had to have the stamp (and i know my blogging friend Janice, will love it too) !, the papers, edged borders and ticket are My Mind's Eye - 'Ooh La La For Him', the sentiment is Paula Pascal - 'All Year Round' ( I so miss doing her classes, she has decided to focus on Sizzix and her photography more), the twine and charm are from my stash.

Hi,

I hope, that those of you who are Mums, had a lovely day yesterday - I got 2 cards (both made by H), a bunch of flowers and a bookmark, that H had threaded the ribbon through himself, Alan and H took me out to lunch on Saturday (as we thought yesterday, would probably be really busy), that was after we had seen 'Joseph And His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat' at The Hawth in Crawley starring 'Keith Jack' who was a runner up in 'Any Dream Will Do', and we all enjoyed it - although afterwards i did ask the question 'Where Does He Put His Mic Pack, As There Doesn't Seem To Be Much Room, When He Is Wearing His Loin Cloth ?' - Alan at this point, just went typical and raised his eyebrows !!!

Just to say a big thank you for all your lovely comments about the blogging problems i have had and it turns out now, my blog has been taken off of the person's recommendations, thank goodness.

I have always admired the lovely Brenda's blog, so when i saw that she was having a competition, i jumped at the chance of entering and i chose to CASE one of her cards, as like me, she is a huge PB nutter !!, i went for this particular design, as i don't use my flower stamps enough and i also loved the way Brenda had framed the image, the papers i've used are the new LOTV pad 'Perfect Pair', the ribbon and pin are from 'The Ribbon Girls', the punched edge and frame is - MS - 'Cherish', tag is cut using a Sizzix die, sentiment is 'Personal Impressions' and gems are 'Habico'.  Although this card is for Mother's Day and it was yesterday, i've made it, as it will give me a good start on the 10 i have to send to the troops in January.

Teddy Bear

Hi,

Well i had to go to the dentist yesterday, as the white filling in my tooth fell out again, they have decided i should have an inlay (as the tooth next to it, was removed and it will continue to fall out) at a cost of £209 and this morning the temporary filling fell out, so i'll be going back later today to get another one added !!!

I'm really sorry to all my wonderful followers for the following, but i'm really quite upset and hurt that someone has done this.
For some bizarre reason this blog has ended up on a 'Make Money With Your Blog' - I would just like to put the fact straight, as i can't seem to be able to contact the author of the blog - I DO NOT AND HAVE NEVER BEEN INTERESTED IN MAKING MONEY FROM MY BLOG, I MAKE MY CARDS AS A HOBBY AND SEND THEM TO FAMILY, FRIENDS AND A CHARITY THAT SENDS CARDS OUT TO OUR TROOPS IN AFGHANISTAN SO THEY ARE ABLE TO SEND THEM HOME TO THEIR FAMILIES - SO PLEASE DO NOT RECOMMEND MY BLOG IN FUTURE, THANK YOU.

Thomas - Big Bunch Of Flowers

Hi,

H had a trial for Baseball yesterday and absolutely loved it - they do another 3 sessions on a Sunday afternoon, then they start playing, which will be on Saturday afternoons and afterwards they do a family barby, so i know where i will be in the summer !! Thank you for all your kind words - my cough fortunately is much better and i have had two good night sleeps.

Snowy & Hedgy

Hi,

In some ways i wish H hadn't gone back to school this week - as we seem to be having a few problems at the moment and his teacher is not helping the situation.  Then to top it all i have gained a hacking cough, that only seems to rear it's ugly head at night time, when i just want to sleep :-(

This card has been about 4 days in the making - firstly i couldn't decide which 5 papers to use, then next it was rotating the sketch and working out where it all fitted together. 'Snowy' has glamour dust on his hat, and i've used 'Aeleens True Snow'  The papers i used are Kars - 'X-mas Collection / Speciality Paper Pad', the die cut snowflakes are Spellbinders 'Snowflake Wonder' - covered in Stampin Up heat & stick powder, then dazzling diamonds, with Dovecraft' gem brads in the centre.
