Hi,

 I hope you are all well and none of you have been flooded out. We are ok, although it doesn't seem to have stopped raining here since yesterday afternoon.  Alan has gone to Turkey for a couple of days for work (oh i do hate it, when he is away), he is back on Thursday morning(fortunately he managed to get his flights changed), as we have tickets to see 'Shrek The Musical' in London (H even got permission from his headmaster).

Today's stamp is another bargain, got it for £4.99 and i thought it would be ideal for my best friends daughter's 18th, which is later on in the year. I have used my favourite colour at the moment 'Purple' and the papers are Doodlebug - 'Lilac Boutique Assortment', which include glitter - used for the number 18 (cut using Sizzix - 'Fruit Smoothie'), velvet - used for the flowers, that have been cut using Tim Holtz - 'Tattered Flower Garland' with black 'Dovecraft' glitter brads in the centre, the black 'Kaisercraft' pearls have been covered with ice crystal stickcles. The wide black lace is from 'The Ribbon Girls', whilst the thinner one used on her dress is from Castleford, Yorkshire market.

Singing Angels

Hi,

All our snow has gone, thank goodness - i do hope all of you lovely people who were seriously dumped on last night are ok ?, friends of ours that live in Halifax posted a photo on Facebook and Alan's dad also told us when we phoned him in Castleford this morning.  H is hoping that rugby (well tag rugby, as he is 6) is on tomorrow, as he hasn't been able to play for a couple of weeks, due to the snow and him running a temperature.

The stamp i've used today is brand new for me - the other week i saw Bunny Zoe Crafts had 40% off of HM stamps and thought i would treat myself to a set, i chose this one, as i thought it would go great with my Marianne D - 'Holly Die'(I bought after seeing the lovely Lisa / Wishcraft use it, you are such a bad influence on my bank balance hun, :-) ) and my Echo Park - 'Season's Greetings', both of which have not been used yet !! The punched edge is MS - 'Cherish'.

Piggy Love

Hi,

I hope you are all ok, with all this snow around ? H's school was open as normal Monday, although the paths on the way there was treacherous and i nearly went over a couple of times.  Yesterday i was able to take the car out for the first time, since Thursday, (as it scares the 'S***' out of me driving in the snow) as the roads were almost back to normal. Yesterday H had to go to school dressed as a 'Fairy Tale Character' - he chose a 'Wolf' and although he looked really good, the outfit had cost me £15 !!!

I would also like to thank the lovely ladies at Oldie But A Goodie for picking Sealed With A Kiss to be in their top 3.

Today's stamp is one of the ones i managed to get from 'The Glitter Pot' for £1, when they were selling off 2nd hand stamps, that had been previously used in classes.  The papers are Echo Park 'Truly Yours' and i've   stiched (i so hate sewing, but thought i would give it ago) the ribbon and pulled it, causing it to ruffle / frill up and i like the look, makes a change, from it just lying flat. The punch is MS - 'Valentine Lace' (must treat myself to a different one, as i have used this one so many times), sentiment is Inkadinkadoo - 'Happy Everything', flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and leaves Sizzix die - 'Flowers, Branches And Leaves Set'.

Snow Family

Hi,

Well, it started snowing around 8am on Friday, i took H to school and by 10.30am, we got a text to say could we pick up our children - gee what was the point in sending him in the first place !! we ended up with about 12 cms - since it started snowing we have left the cars on the drive, but lots of people round here seem to think, it's a normal day! H enjoyed sledging this morning down the embankment on the river bank and it has been snowing again here, since 9am !!

I bought this image along with 4 other smaller, no colour PB images from a well known auction site about a year ago, i've used distressing inks to make the sky (by cutting out the snowmen and reindeer and posted note them back on, so they didn't end up blue !!) after lots of playing around with papers and colours yesterday, i thought the only thing that would do it justice was to use no patterned paper - i stamped the blue paper with Inkadinkadoo snowflake and versamark, covered it in Stampendous Stamp n' Stuff Crystal embossing powder and heated, the white paper i've dry embossed with CB embossing folder 'Ice Crystals' and added blue pearls, snowflakes are 2 punches - Woodware and an old Docrafts one.

Hi,

Well it's looks like it's going to snow from 5am tomorrow morning and last all day - Alan is supposed to be going to Tunbridge Wells, but i've told him not to go, but whether or not, he'll listen to me, is another matter!!!

I have decided to colour the bear in yellow today for a change, as i wanted to colour the basket in, in shades of brown.  I treated myself to some new Valentine papers - First Edition - 'J'Adore' (and i particularly like the peach and blue / green papers) and i've also used my new Sizzix Heart dies, flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts, pearls are The Hobby House.

Holiday Shopper

Hi,

Well we had a sprinkling of snow, but by 10am it had all but gone, it did stay very cold all day though.  H was quite well enough to go back to school today, but he is now well enough to go in tomorrow. On Saturday night Alan and I took full advantage of my New Years Resolution, which is - to go out together at least once a month ( pay for a babysitter), and we went for a fabby meal at a fish resaurant.

I'm so happy and chuffed this week so far, as i found out yesterday i had come in the Top 5 at Cupcake Craft for Snowy and the Top 3 for November's Challenge at J And C Creations for my triple easel card Flower Bear - A Big Thank You To Both Challenges For Picking Me, It Means A Lot.

Today's image is one I've had for a while and never got round to using it (another New Year's Resolution, to use stamps from my stash, that i have not inked up before), even though I think it's cutie, the papers are DCWV - 'Christmas Stack / Rose Tinted', pearls are Papermania, Sentiment Tags are LOTV (that I have not used enough of) and ribbon is from my stash (I think I bought it America, about 3 years ago).

Firstly I would like to thank everybody for their help in adding my signature to my cards using my new laptop, I now have to edit the photo, then go into paint, find the adjusted photo, then i can add it, yipee.

Well it has well and truly got colder, although looking at the weather forcast for tomorrow, i think the predicted snow is now going to be rain, yipee.  We have had a quiet weekend, as H's temperature was a little high and he has slept most of it, it has gone down now and he is feeling a little better, thank goodness.

Snowy

Hi,

When i went outside this morning it felt as though it was the lull before the dreaded Snow !! - i so hate it, as we always seem to get cut off, as when you turn right out of my road you go over a bridge and that always gets so packed up with ice, that it is impossible to go over, let's hope when it comes, it doesn't stay for long.

I was also wondering if anyone could help me, since getting a new laptop, i don't know now to put my name on my cards, please help, thanks.

I was feeling very guilty, as out of all the Christmas cards i made last year, i never used my all time favourite 'Snowy', so i have remedied that today, as he looks so good in Blue.  The papers are a very old Dovecraft pack - 'Winter Wonderland', ribbon again is from an old Papermania Ribbon Collection, that has never been opened before !!, the sentiment is PB - 'Each Friend'

H went back to school on Monday and although it's great when he's off, i don't seem to get anything done !! Yesterday i went for a massage and today i have made a card and started cleaning the house.
Ok i apologise in advance, as this is the first time i'm using our new laptop, that Alan and I treated ourselves too, instead of buying each other Christmas presents.

Brimming With Love

Hi,

Happy New Year - i hope you all had a good one, we had a quiet Xmas, then drove to Yorkshire on the 27th and it took nearly 9 hours !!, we came back Sunday night, so New Years Eve for us was very quiet, then on the 3rd it was H's 6th Birthday and unfortunately i was ill and i was gutted as we had tickets to see 'Disney On Ice' at Wembley Arena, Alan took H on his own and they met up with his best friend Chloe and her family and a good day was had by all.

Ok i officially 'HATE' Blogger on Internet Explorer - they decided to play with it and then i couldn't upload my photo on to it, so after 2 hours of Alan trying, we tried Google Chrome and it worked perfectly.

Today's colour scheme is unusually for me, especially as it's a Valentines one, but it started with a piece of paper from the fabby Bo Bunny - 'Crush' pad, i've added white heart pearls to the mug. I managed to get hold of the white version of the fabby ribbon i used on my 'Nose Kiss', the punched edge is MS - 'Valentines Lace', the embossed hearts in the corner on black card is Country Companions - 'Lover's Lane', i've treated myself to the Sizzix Hearts - both plain and scalloped, the sentiment is PB - 'Love You ...'.

My Favourite Cards Of 2012

Hi,

The lovely Debby is running her usual Favourite 5 Cards of the year and boy was it difficult, as i could easily have picked more !!

 

I really enjoyed making circular / different shaped cards and i also enjoy making Valentines cards too, basic grey papers and a PB image - what more could i want :-)

 

 

This is the first time i have coloured in this image and i so love those Nesties too, basic grey papers. This card was sent to the lovely XxJulesxXx for her 50th Birthday and fortunately she loved it

 

 

 

I'm going through a purple phase at the moment !, i so love the simple design and will definetly use it again, and i so love those fabby BG papers too.

 

 

I don't have many HM stamps, as i'm a little scared of colouring them in, but i so loved how this design came together, using some fabby Doodlebug papers too.

 

 

As well as Valentines cards, i so love making Boy's cards and i haven't looked at this stamp in the same way again !!, as the in the orginal the frogs are holding flowers !!, i so love these fabby Echo Park papers as well - i saw them on the lovely Debby's blog and couldn't resist them !!
