Hi,

Well this is my last post for a while, as we are going on holiday, so i won't be around for a couple of weeks to have a nose at your blogs, but i will enjoy catching up, when i get back.

As there are quite a few fabby challenges around at the moment, i thought i would fine time inbetween packing to come up with this cutie :-) and yes another Xmas card for a change i thought i would do a gate fold card, something i don't do very often and i teamed the images with some fabby Doodlebug paper, my MS 'Present' punch, some ribbon and a charm.

All Wrapped Up

Hi,

Have you all been watching the Olympics ?, i didn't think i would get into it, but i have - saying that though i do like the swimming and sailing and i have got into bits of the gymnastics and 3 day eventing.  Well the school hols are ticking by and i don't know how many more cards i will get made in the next week, as i'm running around trying to sort out lots of things including paint and wallpaper in readiness for our lounge to be decorated.

Today's card is using the only Xmas LOTV stamp i have and i wanted to do her in colours i don't normally touch for an Xmas card !!, but Echo Park 'Dots And Stripes Christmas Collection' made it really easy, i didn't want to do snowflakes in a tone of brown, so i opted instead for Poinsettias using the Marianne D Creatables that i bought last year and never got round to using them. The sentiment is from a PB transparent set. The other thing i never seem to do is decorate the inside, but i have for this one.

Joy - Filled Stockings

Hi,

Well dare i say it, it's too hot !!! H had one of his friends round yesterday and i was going to take them to the local RSPB, but as it was so hot, i decided a walk in the woods with Whisper, get the  paddling pool in the garden and when they were tired a movie and an ice cream - why is the theory always better !!, they seem to bicker all day long - i think the weather got to them !!, so to shut my ears off to some of it, i decided to stamp and colour an image.

I wanted to enter the Winter Wonderland unusual colour challenge of Pink + / or Purple + Aqua + / or Green and i had the papers Squirrel used and did nearly used them, till i came across a gorgeous pack of pearlescent papers from Crafthouse 'Winter Wonderland' and some Dovecraft brads (that i seem to have had for ages), then finished it off with a tag sentiment, i think from Inkadinkadoo, but i seem to have lost the packaging for it.

Hi,

Well can you believe it, i've woken up to find the sun shinning and apparently it's going to last - yipee, as i've got loads planned for H for the next couple of weeks.

Today's image is another one that came free with a magazine and i've teamed it up with some fabby Doodlebug papers - 'True Love Assortment'.  The roses (well that's what they are supposed to be !!)  are made out of ribbon - i think i still need some practice but i don't think they are bad for a first attempt (found a tutorial on you tube), the pearl hearts and gems came from the same pack and the sentiment is from 'Sentiments 4 You'.

Feather Boa

Hi,

Well the Olympic Torch finally hit Sussex yesterday, but i didn't bother going down to see it, as it was - yes you've guessed it Raining !!, i had a quick look on the live link and they had shut the main seafront road from Worthing to Hove, oh what joy that would have been trying to find a car parking space, as well !!

Today's image, i must confess i do not own, in fact a couple of months ago 20 LOTV images came free with a magazine and this is one of them - although i must confess i do rather like her and may have to look at buying her.  I've teamed her up with some very old Papermania 'Citrus Colossal Papers', i've distressed the image with Spun Sugar and the doily with 'Victorian Velvet', the corners are Memory Box 'Macarena Corner', with loads of pearls added, the lace is from 'Castleford' Market, Yorkshire (when i was up there visiting FIL).

Friendly Surprise

Hi,

Well what can i say about the weather !! - we even had a thunderstorm on Wednesday, today is sunny and cloudy !! I've had a busy week - H had a party on Wednesday and my phone wouldn't ring out or let me text - I'm on the Tesco network and they obviously use O2, i must confess i was a little nervous, as i was unable to get hold of Alan (he works in the city), then on Thursday we went to pick up Alan's motorbike and went to H's sports day (he did very well in the javelin (foam ones) and goal scoring), luckily the rain held off.

Today's image is one of those that makes me think of summer, sitting on a garden swing with the birds chirping around me - the papers are Basic Grey 'Porcelain', the sketch gave me a good excuse to have a play with Memory Box 'Woven Circle', the flowers and border punch are Stampin Up punches, i've distressed the image so it blends in better with the green border.
