I'm scheduling this post as Harrison had an inset day on Friday and we took our bikes to Kent, where we had a day at Bedgebury Pinetum, a day in Hythe and today we have cycled round Rye Harbour Nature Reserve.

Gift Of Giving

Hi,

I can't believe it's been a week, since i last posted, but behind the scenes i've been beavering away making DT cards, for when Harrison finishes school in 4 weeks time !!, he has also been off sick this week for 2 days - he threw up first thing Monday morning, but was not allowed back in for 48 hours. New roof on conservatory is looking good, plasterer came in yesterday and Alan will be painting it at the weekend, once that is done i will take some photo's.

I thought it was about time i used the gorgeous : LOTV - 'Snow Princess Papers', the image is : Penny Black - 'Gift Of Giving / 4098K / 2009' and it's been cut with : Die-namics - 'Pierced Rectangles', i've used lots of Glamour Dust for the snow, coat and hat, the trees are covered on the edges with Glamour Dust : Marianne D - 'LR0136', the snowflake edge : Memory Box - 'Frostyville Border', the ribbon is : The Ribbon Girls, the sentiment is : LOTV - 'Christmas Tags', the gem is from my stash.

This weekend is H's school summer fete - it's a weird one as we open 11-4, then again 6-10, we went to the evening do last year - but call me a prude / old fashioned seeing parents with children drunk, is not my idea of a fun evening, don't get me wrong i like a drink - but one of us always stays sober, as we are usually driving.

This cutie image, is such a great fun summer image : Penny Black - 'Join - In ? / 2880K / 2004', i'm enjoying creating a scene at the moment for my stamps, using my cloud die and distressed ink - 'Tumbled Glass', the papers are a really old Stampin Up collection, but i'm sorry i don't know the name of it (the orange paper in the centre of the flowers is a different collection), the circles are cut with my : Tonic Scallops, the flowers are : EK Sucess, the bee and ladybird is : Cheery Lynn Designs - 'Tiny Things With Wings', the buttons, pearls and ribbon are from my stash.

Born Wild !

Hi,

We have had a busy weekend - yesterday we went to Tilgate Park in Crawley for an end of Rugby season get together, where the boys did Go Ape, played their last ever game of Tag Rugby (as from September, it goes to contact) and an award / certificate ceremony and today we have been emptying out our conservatory, as the new roof is being put in from Wednesday, so lets hope for nice weather.

Initally i was going to give Alan the other Father's Day card i made - till i remembered i didn't have one for his Dad !!, so i had to make Alan another one - please excuse the colour of the motorbike (but it's the colour of Alan's motor bike that he rides to work) - the image is: Penny Black - 'Born Wild !', it was cut with : Die-namics - 'Rounded Rectangles', the paper is: Doodlebug - 'For The Boys', the orange embossed section behind the image is : Cuttlebug - 'Clockworks', the sentiment is: Inkadinkadoo - 'Happy Everything', the gears in the corner is: Memory Box - 'Gearworks Border', cut cut up, the twine is from The Ribbon Girls

Musical Angel - Penny Black & More

We are enjoying a child free weekend - yesterday H went to a museum with Cubs, where he met Cubs from all over the District, whilst Alan & I enjoyed a fabby Thai lunch, followed by the new Pierce Brosnan movie 'Survivor', today H is off to a Go Ape party, he is being taken there and back - result, so i will be walking Whisper, then starting a new card, whilst Alan will be taking his motorbike out.

I think this is the oldest stamp i have : Penny Black - 'Musical Angel - 798D - 1996' and because she is only        . i thought i would use one of the: Whichcraft shaped cards - 'Scallop Circle Step Card', which i was lucky enough to win in a blog challenge last year, it's covered with : LOTV - 'On A High Note', sentiment is : Penny Black - 'Tiny Wishes Transparent Set / 30-026/ 2009', the die is : Memory Box - 'Virtuoso Music', the brad started off black - so i covered it in white embossing powder, then coloured it pink, the twine and charm are from my stash.

Lazy Afternoon

Hi,

I'm scheduling this post, as i will be taking H to school on our bikes (as the weather is supposed to be nice), then i will have to come back and walk Whisper round the field.  We have a child free weekend - as on Saturday H is spending the day at Amberley Museum with Cubs and on Sunday he is being taken to Go Ape for a Birthday party, so Alan and I are having lunch on Saturday, then off to watch the new Pierce Brosnan  movie 'The Survivor'.

I've made this card for Alan for 'Father's Day', although he will laugh when he sees the image, as with an 8 year old son and me, there is no chance of him getting  a 'Lazy Afternoon' ;-).
