Alan and I's weekend was blissfully quiet and Harrison had a good time camping for the first time, but he came back very very tired, so he went to bed very early on Sunday.

Thoughtfulness - Pansy

Hi,

Alan and I are child free this weekend, Harrison has gone off, for his first Cub camp under canvas and as i still haven't bought a hoover yet, i will be crafting tomorrow, yipee and tomorrow night we are off to see Samantha Barks - she was 'Eponine' in 'Les Miserables' the movie and in my opinion should have got the Oscar instead of  Anne Hathaway.

Today we are up to our mid month at Penny Black And More  and this months Challenge is 'Flower Power' and as usual we have some fabby sponsors :

I learnt to do this technique in a recent crafting class and  is very diffferent for me !!, the image is: Penny Black - 'Thoughtfulness - Pansy / 740K / 1997', was coloured using : Distress Inks - 'Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters, Stormy Sky, Old Paper, Milled Lavender and Wilted Violet', i then stamped the image on vellum and heat embossed : Stamp Stuff - 'Crystal' and then stuck it on top of the coloured image.  The background was made by : wiping some Distress Ink - 'Wilted Violet' on my mat and adding Imagination Crafts - 'Clear Stencil Medium' and then spreading over a stencil by Jaime Echt and finished off with some ribbon from my stash.

A Wish For All Tme

Hi,

We seem to be jinxed in this house, since we have come home from our holiday -

1) TV remote control no longer works - so everytime we have to switch it off / on or adjust the volume, we have to get up and do it !!

2) Hoover motor blew up and am off to buy a new one tomorrow at John Lewis, looks like we are going for a Miele one

3) a new jar of mayonnaise fell out of the cupboard - glass and mayonnaise everywhere and no hoover to pick up the little of glass either !!

The shape of this card is a 'Front Step' and it was shown in the Quick Cards magazine last July and i've been meaning to make it for ages.  The image is : Penny Black - 'A Wish For All Time / 3907J / 2008' - i've embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder, while the image is stamped normally. The papers are : Basic Grey - 'Nordic Christmas', the blue paper is embossed with : Cuttlebug Embossing Folder - 'Swirls', the die is : Cheery Lynn - 'Fanciful Flourish', the silver ribbon and blue pearls are from my stash.

Hedge-Word

Hi,

We had an absolutely brilliant holiday, cruising round the Mediterranean with Celebrity Reflection and the sun never stopped shinning, although at times it was a bit too hot for sight seeing - 35C in Athens !!, i've included a couple of photos (although i will have to add the Rome and Athens ones, when i managed to download them from the ipad !!).

Us standing at the top of an active volcano in Santorini (it was a hike of 600 metres to the top), afterwards we went for a swim in a hot spring (that was cool), which was very welcoming

I started stamping and colouring this image before i went on holiday : Penny Black - 'Hedge-Word / 4060K / 2010', for those of you that are familiar with this stamp - it normally say's 'Birthday', but i covered that up and added 'Fathers', papers are really old : DCWV - 'Black And White Prints Paper Stack', the brads and ribbon is from my stash.
