Party Time Robot

Hi,

H has another party this weekend and it's a Go - Kart one, that he loves, then Sunday is Rugby training and hopefully we will find the time to put the Christmas Tree up, as once we hit December, it gets a bit crazy at weekends for us.

To make a change from Christmas cards and as H has a few birthdays coming up, it gave me a chance to make a boys card and when i saw Bunny Zoe's Crafts had a sale on and the: High Hopes - 'Gears Border' stamp was only £1.80, which i stamped up with Versamark and embossed with : WOW Embossing Powder - 'Metallic Silver', it also gave me a good excuse to dig out : High Hopes - 'Party Time Robot', the dry embossing is : Cuttlebug - 'Clockworks', the sentiment is : High Hopes - 'Transmitting Birthday Wishes', the corners are : Whimsy Stamps - 'Corner Die Set', the gear charms and ribbon are from my stash.

Winter Fun

Hi,

Alan has been working from home most of the week, as he is feeling a little weak, i'm trying to persuade him to go to the doctors, but you know what men are like - it's like dragging Whisper to a bucket of clean water, she suddenly turns into a 'Donkey' ;-). We are off to see Benedict Cumberbach in 'The Imitation Game' tonight and my friend Celia is looking afer H.

I hope this is CAS enough, as i really struggle with it, the image was not meant to be decoupage, but I had a slight accident and poured water over the card, managing to avoid the image, how i don't know, so i had to cut it out !!. Today's stamp is one i managed to buy from the PB supplier in my village (unfortunately i've not bought many from him, as i had a lot of what he had already) : Penny Black - 'Winter Fun / 1546K / 1999', for the fur on the jacket i've used : Flowersoft - 'Ultra Fine White', for the holly berries are highlighted : Tim Holtz - 'Distress Stickles / Barn Door', and the snow is : Stampendous Frantage - 'Chunky White', the sentiment is : Penny Black - 'Each Friend / 3261F / 2006', the paper is : Imaginisce - 'Polar Expressions', the twine is from : The Ribbon Girls - 'Cherry Red'.

I recently did a class with the amazing talented Kay Carley and this is my interpretation of what we made : Penny Black - 'Snowman Hide-N-Seek / 1280J / 1998', the stencil template : Imagination Crafts - 'The Clearing', i did the trees in : Imagination Crafts - 'Sparkle Medium / Silver' and the moon was done in : 'Sparkle Medium / Diamond', i then distressed it in : Tim Holtz - 'Stormy Sky, Chipped Sapphire and Milled Lavender', the frantage was done with : Stampendous - 'Chunky White'.

I'm quickly uploading this, as i'm off for a massage at 12.30 and i haven't had since July, gee life has so got in the way !!, at the weekend we are off to a Christmas Market at 'The Weald And Downland Museum' and H has rugby training on Sunday.

Whiskers And Fur

Hi,

Sorry if i haven't been around the last couple of days, as i banged my head on a radiator drier last Wednesday, then the telephone fell on my head on Friday and after 3 days of taking Migraine tablets, as my head was pounding, Alan said put a packet of frozen peas on it, as he thought it was mild concussion, so after a day of peas on my head, i feel so much better.

An Eggnog

We were away last week for half term in Dubrovnik, Croatia and it was superb and so worth the 3 year wait !!, anyway here are a couple of photos :

We took a cable car to get to the top of Mount Srdj, it was 4pm, hence the blanket round me and please note, no cake for me, as they didn't do a dairy free one
