What A Winter !

Hi,

I started a new dance / fitness class last week and it was brilliant, the teacher was trained by Natalie Lowe, Ian Waite and Mark Foster, as i'm a huge Strictly fan, this is right up my street, plus our teacher organises lots of fun social events including theatre trips (and i've already booked and paid for one in December), nights outs and weekend dance sessions - bring it on :-).

I so wanted to enter the lovely Squirrel's Great Penguin Challenge, but i so couldn't decide what stamp to pick, then when i did pick a stamp, as it's so large - what to do with it !!, the image is : Penny Black - 'What A Winter ! / 2751 K / 2003', i've added : Tim Holtz - 'Barn Door Distress Stickles', to the holly in the wreath, the shape is : Go Kreate 'Large Frames Filly #9', the papers are : My Mind's Eye - Wonderful Winter / Glittered Holiday Papers', the die (cut in 2) is : Memory Box - 'Frostyville Wreath', decorated with lots of gems, the ribbon is from : The Ribbon Girls - 'Khaki Sage Green No.80 Berisford Satin', the sentiments are : LOTV - 'Christmas Tags', that have been sparkled.

Bees And Bunny

We had a short break in Rye over the weekend, (as H had an inset day yesterday and we went with our friends, who's son also had an inset day) to a caravan park - on Friday night we had ringside seats to a family feud (that was happening 2 caravans away from us), followed by a light show by the Police !!, - luckily the weather was nice and we went for fun days out, only really using the caravan park for sleeping - but will never go to another one again.

Today's card is for a friend of mine, who celebrates a special birthday next month and her favourite colour is 'Yellow',the image is a stamp, i seem to avoid using, but i don't know why !! Penny Black - 'Bees & Bunny / 2305H', the papers are an old pack of : Stampin Up - 'Tea Party', the sentiments are : LOTV - 'Tags', i really must looking at other blogs, as they always want me to buy more things :-), - this time it was the lovely Sue and she had used for the doily - Whimsy Stamps - 'Lace Doily Corner 1', the ribbon is from : The Ribbon Girls - '38mm Lemon Yellow/ Gold Glitter Organza', the bee is : Cheery Lynn - 'Tiny Things With Wings', the flowers are from stash and the leaves are : Sizzix - 'Flowers, Branches & Leaves Set', the pearls were from my stash.

This is a different type of card for me - but i needed to do something very CAS, as it was for a friend, who's Dad had passed away (i don't do Sympathy cards) the image is quite small as it is taken from a Transparent Penny Black Set - 'Clearly In Love - 30-009' and i also coloured it with (for a change) : Tim Holtz - Distressed Inks - Scattered Straw, Tea Dye, Spiced Marmalade, Dried Marigold, Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint and i cut the image into 4 with: Spellbinders - 'Fleur De Lis Squares', then i coloured the rose in on another image and glossy accented it to put on top, the sentiment is Penny Black - 'Salutations - 30-014', the papers are : Kaisercraft - 'Peachy Keen Collection', the pearls are : The Hobby House.

Riding My Bike

The 'Hundred Mile Journey' starring Helen Mirren, was fabby and on Saturday we went to some friend's of ours 30th Wedding Anniversary Do. we all went to the blessing, but it was only me, who went to the evening do, as Alan wasn't feeling up to it, as he had cleared the garage out during the day and had over done it.

I needed a card for my friend Karen's son,whose birthday is in a couple of months, and the image i chose was : LOTV - 'Riding My Bike', i have distressed some clouds, but not sure if they show up very well, the papers are : LOTV - 'Candles And Cake', the sentiment is : Woodware - 'Circular Greetings', the Number 7 is : Sizzix - 'Fruit Smoothie', the ribbon is : Papermania, the bicycle buttons are from my stash.

Thanks for all the get well messages, i'm feeling lots better now, but i was gutted as i missed going to see 'Lee Mack',on Saturday, my friend went and said it was brilliant, I didn't do yoga on Tuesday as my whole body was aching. On Friday i'm hoping to go and see the new Helen Mirren movie 'The Hundred Mile Journey', if my friend can get a babysitter.
