Hi,

Last night, i went to the cinema with a friend to see 'A Long Way Down' starring the gorgeous  Pierce Brosnan and we enjoyed it, in a funny sort of a way !. Tomorrow we are going to Borde Hill Gardens, a place i have never been too, but it's supposed to be good and they have a children's area, so that will keep H entertained :-)

It's Alan's birthday on Thursday and so therefore i thought i had better make him a card !!, so i picked this Gruffies image and sentiment from 'Fun In The Sun JSHM058', mind you there is one thing missing from the image, and that's the numerous chocolate wrappers, that he likes to munch through when he's stressed :-), the papers are very old : Making Memories - 'Cosmopolitan Collection', i've used my : Dienamics - 'Fishtail Flags' again - gee i'm so glad i got them, the punched edge is : MS - 'Embossed Zigzag' and the buttons are from my stash.

Snow Delight

Hi,

Lunch was a success on Sunday and everybody ate everything and i couldn't believe how much H's friend Fraser and his brother ate, but gee i'd rather feed children like that, than picky ones and we managed a walk too - in between the hale stones !!

I saw this cute little character on someone's blog, as i'm a sucker for snowmen, i had to have him !! : Penny Black - Snow Delight 3536H', the snowflake edging around the image is : Penny Black - 'Snow Scroll 3892K', the sentiment is : Penny Black - 'Christmas Banner 40-253/ Slapstick set', the snowflake strip : Martha Stewart - Snowflake', the circle snowflake : Martha Stewart - 'Skyland Snowflake' - it's a deep edge punch, but ive seen someone make a circle, so i thought i would give it a go and it worked - yipee, all of the white card has been embossed with : Stamp Stuff - 'Crystal Embossing Powder', the papers are : Papermania - 'Home For Christmas', that i managed to get for £1.75 for the 6x6 pack, the adhesive shimmer dots are : Papermania

Grass Cake

Hi,

We've got one of H's school friends and his family round for lunch today, so i'm uploading this in between cooking Roast Chicken with lemon and thyme and all the trimmings, apple and blackberry crumble and bakewell tart and if the weather is nice, we are going to take the boys for a scooter ride round a park with a lake.

Today's stamp is one that always makes me giggle: Penny Black - 'Grass Cake - 2343K' and to glitter it up , i've used : Stampin Up - 'Heat And Stick Powder, then Dazzling Diamonds', the sentiment is: Forever Friends - 'Black And Gold' the black and white papers are : Papermania - 'Capsule Collection by Jesse Edwards', the yellow and white one on the flower is : Martha Stewart, i have dug out my fabby (but not used very often, as the flower is so large - hence why i bought the strip, in a smaller version) : Tim Holtz - 'Tattered Florals', i've added : Stickles - 'Star Dust' to the edges of the flower, the pearls are : The Hobby House, the ribbon is : Stampin Up, the button and twine is from stash.  I chose yellow for a change, as to me it's very spring and also a colour i don't use very often.

Flower Girl

Firstly i must apologise, if i have been behind on commenting, but i have been struggling with my migraines again - hopefully it's just a glitch and i'm hoping my accupuncturist can put me back on track.  Yesterday we went to 'Whalefest' - which was all about Whale Conservation and moving forward to try and release them from the likes of 'Seaworld', and i got to see 'Gok Wan' and H got to see 'Steve Backshall' (for those not familiar, it's the guy who does 'Deadly 60).

Thanks for all your kind comments and wishes regarding my noisy neighbour, it was very much appreciated and as quite a few people have complained, the powers to be are now dealing with them.  It was so lovely to see some sunshine at the weekend, that we went to Bodiam Castle -  and although H & I had been there a couple of years ago, when he dressed up as a knight, either Alan and Whisper had not, we decided to take Whisper off of her lead, so we crossed the bridge walk along the riverbank, a gun shot went off and Whisper took off like a greyhound, with H is hot pursuit, but he couldn't catch her before she hit the road - fortunately somebody else caught her !!

Today's image is one that i treated myself to, from  The Hobby House, as it was in the sale : Mo Manning - 'Simon', i so want those Dienamics Pierced Rectangles, but as i can't get hold of them at the moment, I decided to use my : Stampin Up - 'Mat and Piercing Tool' and did it myself, the papers are: Doodlebug - 'Boys Only', sentiment is: Woodware - 'Boys', stamped on: Whiff Of Joy - 'Arrows Metal Die', the skateboard is a : 'Sizzix Thin Cut', twine and buttons from my stash.

Spring Air

Hi,

This week i've had an incredible low and an incredible high - firstly the nice bit, while having a nose round ebay for some old PB's i found a seller, with some Buy It Now and at reasonable prices with free P+P, so i bought a couple and then to my surprise the person lives a 10 min walk away from me, and say's he has 2,500 and i can go round whenever to have a nose - gee i'll be in PB heaven.
Now the horrible bit - one of my neighbours last Friday evening decided to have a party, that eventually got shut down by the police at 3.40am (i wouldn't mind, but we live in a village and not a city) and Alan and I had to also deal with a screaming 7 year old with a raging temperature (after he had been sent home from school on Thursday), so we ended up with about 2 hours sleep, so i've had a week of e-mailing local councillors and Environmental Health along with several other neighbours, so that it never happens again.

Today's stamp is Penny Black - 'Spring Air / 3346F', it's such a cutie and i've paper pieced the welly boot (to make them look trendy) and the flower, the papers are : LOTV - 'Perfect Pairs', the daisy lace and ribbon is from : The Ribbon Girls and the pearl flowers are : 'Mei Flowers'.
