Berry, Berry Christmas

Hi,

I'm starting to feel more like my normal self, especially after i did yoga and had a massage yesterday.  H's new bedroom carpet was fitted yesterday, so all we need now is a bookshelf and a single bed futon (for when his friends come to stay), right i must get on, as i have a bathroom calling me, to get cleaned a food shop needs doing this afternoon too :-(

Today's stamp is one i so love, Penny Black - 'Berry, Berry Christmas / 2514K', and i've framed it in those fabby : Spellbinders - 'Timeless Rectangle', but i don't seem to use this stamp very often, although that may change, now i've bought : Cottage Cutz - 'Elegant Holly Corner', which i've highlighted with some red pearls,  i've used : LOTV - 'Classic Christmas Papers', the ribbon is a very old Papermania one, the sentiment is : Cuddly Buddly - 'Christmas Greetings' and again highlighted with pearls.

Hoppy Day

Hi,

It's nice to have H back at school today, as i'm so shattered from last weeks craziness - H really enjoyed everything he did - especially his day trip to Beaulieu Motor Museum, where it was great to see lots of the cars they trash on 'Top Gear', the monorail and dressing up.  I then drove to Eastbourne on Saturday, as i treated a friend of mine for her birthday, tickets to see 'Vincent And Flavia in Dance Till Dawn' and it was brilliant and my friend went all star struck, when we walked into the restaurant and Vincent was having his lunch !!

I can't believe the last time i used this fabby stamp was just under 3 years ago : Penny Black - Hoppy Day / 40-026, I have paper pieced the waistcoat, neckachief and shirt, I distressed the image and edges with : Tim Holtz - 'Tea Dye', the papers are ones i bought in America at Wall-Mart 6 years ago :  Martha Stewart - 'Classic Botanical', the sentiment is : LOTV - 'Circular Greetings',  the frog buttons : Craftime - 'Button Fun / 602', twine is from my stash.

Patchwork Hot Air Balloon

Hi,

We have actually had some sun today - i won't speak too loudly as i'm sure it won't last, yesterday we took Whisper along the seafront for a walk, gee i've never seen it before, but beach huts that were permanently fixed, had been moved by the strong winds on Friday night. This week is half term, so as usual H is very busy, he has holiday club tomorrow, and then the other days he is going to a Science Show, Bird Watching, a Sports Camp and Friday we are going to 'Beaulieu Motor Museum, as H's school project this term is 'On The Move'.

Deer In Skates !

Hi,

I took Harrison to see 'The Lego Movie' and lunch at 'Ask' on Saturday - we were originally going to go to RHS Wisley for the butterflies, but as the weather didn't look good, so we (Harrison's friend Chloe, her brother Joshua and my friend Celia) decided it would be better to do an indoor activity and all the children loved the movie too - i on the other hand fell asleep :-). Alan has been doing a motorbike course since Friday and will be doing the test tomorrow, hopefully if his knees last that long, as he is using a smaller bike.

Gone Fishing

Hi,

Wow, it was so nice to see a bit of sun over the weekend for a change - the river bank still looks like a bog, but at least i can't grumble, as i feel so sorry, for those poor people in Somerset.

Today's image is an LOTV one, that i knew would be ideal for Alan's mum's husband (i'd call him his stepdad, but Alan's mum seems to think she's Elizabeth Taylor !!), i've had a bit of a tidy up of the craft / computer  room (well i've basically got to do it, as Alan wants to work from home more) and i forgot about these papers and i had them in 6x6 and 8x8 !!, they are : Dovecraft - 'Masculine', the sentiment is : LOTV - 'Mixed Circular Sentiments', twine and charm is from my stash.

I think i took the Challenge 'Make It Sparkle', quite literally and the image i've used is 'Star Fairy / 1190K - 1998', i coloured her in with my normal Twinkling H20's, but lately i have not been happy with the way they colour, in skin - so the lovely Kay Carley told me which Copic colours she uses for skin and i have used them and i'm a lot happier with the result - what do you think ?, i've also covered the Wings with 'Glamour Dust' and all the stars have been highlighted with 'Stickles'. The Sentiment is : Penny Black - 'Happy Birthday / 2912D' and i decided to use : Spellbinders - 'Floral Ovals' and i noticed on quite a few blogs : Spellbinders - 'Labels 18' (so i thought i would treat myself to some, only problem is i was nearly late with the Challenge !!), the papers are : My Minds Eye 'Penny Lane - Glittered Cardstock', the stars are : Memory Box - 'Precious Stars', the ribbon and pearl is from my stash.
