From a very damp and miserable day in Sussex, i've just been for a lovely massage - so at the moment i don't care what the weather is doing, well until i have to take Whisper out later :-).

Today's card is using an image, that i have fortunately been sent by a lovely crafty buddy - but i'm sorry i can't remember who though, the papers are : Jennifer Ellory Designs - 'Floral (that was free with a magazine last year), the embossed butterflies was done using : Craft Concepts - 'Wings', the sentiment is : Woodware - 'Circular Greetings' and the butterfly in the centre is from : Penny Black - 'Critter Party Transparent Set', the lace bit through the middle is : The Ribbon Girls - 'Spiders Web / Pink', the butterflies were cut using : Cheery Lynn Designs - 'Tiny Things With Wings' and the gems are : Papermania - 'Adhesive Stones - Pale Pink'

Birthday Balloons

Hi,

This is going to be a very quick post, as we are going to see 'The Snowman' at the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton this afternoon and i'm uploading this, before Alan tells me we need to go !!
UPDATE - we all had a super time and it was very magical, plus we had lunch in the adjoining restaurant to the theatre and had a lovely lunch too.

Hi,

Alan and i went to see 'Las Vegas' starring Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Kline and Robert De Niro on Saturday night and at the end of the movie they were playing an 'Earth Wind and Fire' song and i was jigging / bopping out of the cinema, much to the horror of the rest of the audience - as the majority were 20 somethings and didn't know the song :-) - it was a great fun movie and worth seeing.

H has been invited to Archie's party (but he can't go, as we are going to see 'The Snowman' in Southampton), but he wanted to send him a card and after seeing Winter Wonderland, where the Challenge is 'A Dog Is Not Just For Christmas', i couldn't not enter, as Whisper would never have forgiven me !! - so i thought i would use my new LOTV stamp - 'Yeehaa' (that i managed to get in the LOTV 20% off sale) and i'd also seen on blog land these fabby - Carta Bella papers - 'Giddy Up' (they go perfectly with it), the cowboy boot and spur were cut using a very Sizzlits die.

I bought this gorgeous stamp, from 2000 just before Christmas on a certain auction site (and i have wanted it for ages), i stamped round the edge with Penny Black - 'Scrolling Along !', the sentiment is : Penny Black - 'Hugs! - Transparent Set', the papers were bought in the 'My Crafty Heart' 30% Xmas Sale : Bo Bunny 'Sweet Tooth Collection', now i've seen this super die in blogland and i had to have it, so just before Xmas i gave in and bought it !! : La La Land Crafts - 'Hearts Banner', the heart edging is : Crafty Sentiments Design - 'Fancy Floral', the wooden button is from - Hobbycraft and i've distressed it with : Tim Holtz - 'Picked Raspberry'.

White Slopes

Hi,

I hope if any of your rivers have flooded they are now residing and you are all starting to get back to some sort of normality.  The weather was gorgeous here on Saturday, so i took H up to his best friends house, where we had lunch then scooted over to the local park, whilst Alan stayed at home and ripped up H's bedroom carpet.

OMG, i can't believe it's less than a month since Christmas and i'm making a Christmas card!!, i have never done a monochromatic green card, but after having a root around my papers i found these : Dovecraft - 'Christmas Fancy', the large snowflake is : Cuttlebug - 'Ice Crystal', the brad is : Doodlebug - 'Crushed Velvet Brad', the snowflake edging : MS - 'Snowflakes', the ribbon is from 'The Ribbon Girls.

Born To Shop

Hi,

I hope you are all surviving this dreadful weather - round by us the river bank is all flooded and Whisper is constantly being looking like a 14 colour Collie and not a tri-colour one !!,  it took Alan just over 2 and a quarter hours to get to Crawley yesterday (well he tried to get to London, but the train line from Horsham is completely under water and they don't when it will clear).

I bought today's image, when LOTV had 20% off of everything, just before Christmas, i know it's an old one, but as i didn't have many girly ones, i thought it gave me a good excuse to buy some !!, the sentiment is : LOTV - 'Sentiment Tags', the papers are : (the shoe one) K & Co - 'Sparkly Sweet' (and the spotty one) Dovecraft - 'Back To Basics', the corner die is : Joanna Sheen / Signature Dies - 'Lace Corners 1', which i treated myself to, just before Christmas, the ribbon is from : The Ribbon Girls, gems and doily are from my stash.

I have this stamp a while and i thought it was about time i used it !!, and i remembered the gorgeous Doodlebug - 'Love Potion Cardstock' and to carry on the flock / chenille theme i covered the hearts on the image with : Doodlebug - 'Crushed Velvet Ladybug Flock' and i've cut the hearts : MB - 'Precious Hearts' and Woodware - 'Silhouette Punch' out of : Doodlebug - 'Ladybug Chenille Cardstock', the sentiment is : PB - 'Piece Of My Heart Transparent Set'.

HAPPY NEW YEAR - 2014 / I hope you all had a good / safe one.

OMG wasn't a certain Mr G Barlow A-M-AZING last night, i was singing (well trying to, with a cough every other word !!), i personally thought the fireworks in London were a bit OTT - i thought Dubai and Sydney were the best. Before we left for Yorkshire yesterday, I was starting to get card making withdrawals, so i made one, but didn't have time to upload it - hence why i'm doing it today.

Today's stamp is one i've had for a while and it always been passed up for another stamp, but after seeing there were a couple of bird themes, it fitted perfectly.  The papers are : First Edition - 'Birdsong', the frame the image is in : Marianne D - 'LR0240 'the edge die is : MB - 'Meridian Border', the fence and 1 of the birds : Marianne D -  'LR0205', the other bird and ivy is : Marianne D - 'LR0206', flowers : EK Sucess Punch.
