Armful Of Hollies

Hi,

Sorry i haven't posted now for over a week, but i've been caught up with doing DT posts and they seem to take me twice along to make !!!, plus last weekend i seriously struggled with the silly temperatures and ended up with 6 migraines in 6 days - my poor body just overheated and however much water i drank, or cool showers or wet tea towels round my neck i did i just couldn't cool down, - fortunately it has cooled down and i'm feeling much better. Also i was caught up with H saying goodbye to his school before he starts his new one in September (well saying that he has a place, but Admissions haven't signed it off yet, so it's all been very stressful).

For anybody interested i'll be in West Yorkshire, well Garforth to be precise from Thursday for a couple of days and i'm looking at taking a visit over to the LOTV shop, if anybody is around and would like to meet up - my e-mail address is on the right side panel.

Today's stamp is one i treated myself to a couple of months ago, as i so love the PB Snowmen - i must have at least 6 now !!, his hat is covered in glamour dust and the snow is 'Aileens True Snow',  the papers are Echo Park 'Season's Greeting's', which i so love i may have to buy another pad !!, sentiment is 'LOTV', holly die Marianne Design 'LR0244' and gems are from my stash.

Glamorous Gardening

Hi,

Unfortunately this is going to be a very quick post as Alan and I are off to see 'Josh Widdicombe' tonight - he's a comedian and was in 'The Last Leg' on Channel 4, then tomorrow we hopefully pick up Alan's new / secondhand car, we are having a new bathroom window fitted and H is going to school as a Spider for his 'Bug Ball'.

Xmas Mouse

Hi,

Well after last weeks crazy week - it has settled down a bit, well that is until tomorrow - when we have H's sports day at 9.30 - 11.30, at 1.30 we Alan and I are checking out a new school for H, as we have had lots of problems this year with the school - with regards to the headmaster and his teacher who seems to be headteachers pet !!, then at 3.30, when i pick H up from school, i have to drive to his best friends house, as it's her brothers 4th birthday party - barby and paddling pool, brilliant for the kids, oh roll on summer hols then hopefully we won't be so time regulated !!

Well I can't really believe i have made a Christmas Card, when the temperature outside is 24C - gee i must be mad, but then it will save me rushing in December !!, now you made need your sunglasses for the papers as they are rather bright !! - My Mind's Eye - 'Colorful Christmas' (i do apologise to my British followers for the spelling, but they are American papers), the punched edge - MS - 'Icicles', sentiment - PB - 'Let It Snow/ Transparent Set', snowflakes - Marianne D - 'LR0125', ribbon, charm and sparkly brad from stash.

Sailing Boat

Hi,

Well what can i say - Amazing weather and we've won the Men's Wimbledon final for the first time in 77 years - i got to see the last game and a half, as we had gone out to buy Alan a new / second-hand car.
I'm so glad this week has arrived as i was so busy last week - Friday night i babysat for my friend, then on Saturday the local Arthritis group had a garden party, then in the evening i drove to Horsham for a meal out with my friend and 13 other people to celebrate her 40th Birthday and i was so shattered by the time i got home.

Today's image is fast becoming my favourite LOTV image - or is it the fact that i'm just so in love the fabby Maja Designs - 'Life By The Sea' papers - note to one's self to check out some more of this company's papers, the sentiment is 'Sentiments 4 You', Ribbon is Making Memories - 'Sam' (how appropriate !!) and the star brads are from my stash.

Flutter - Bye

Hi,

We had a fabby time in Berlin - doing all the places we had been told to do, including Brandenberg Gates, Checkpoint Charlie, East Side Gallery, Alexanderplatz, Reichestag, but i'm sure nobody mentioned Discovery Centre / Legoland - but i guess that is the joy of having a 6 year old on a trip, you have to find something for them to do as well.
Since are fabby trip though Alan has had a car accident - not his fault, a guy in a BMW company car didn't stop him and went into the back of him and also shoved him so hard he hit the car in front too, so he is feeling a little sorry for himself and also his car, it looks like is going to be written off.
On a lighter i went with a friend of mine to see Strictly Confidental last night and it was great to see Artem with his shirt off :-)

For today's card, i thought i would give the triple oval easel card a go with the help of the lovely Coops tutorial, using the K & Company 'Sparkly Sweet' paper pad, the MS 'Pop-Up Butterfly Punch', the ornate butterflies are Cheery Lyn Designs 'Tiny Things With Wings'.
