Shower Of Flowers

Hi,

Well i finally got some time to myself at the weekend, as Alan took H to 'ModelWorld' at the Brighton Centre on Saturday, then we went for dinner at 'Wagamama' and while Alan babysat H, i went to see 'I'll Give It A Year' with my friend Celia, as it's more a girly movie.  The class at 'The Glitter Pot' was good and i only spent £5, as a couple of the things i wanted, were out of stock, which was a bit of a bumer, as they had 10% off of everything, as they had won 3 awards !!

Although i have the smaller version of this image (it's on the transparent set 'Hugs'), i have always wanted the wooden version, as i always thought the other version was too small.  I treated myself to the gorgeous 'Promises' papers from LOTV - well they are in purple and it is my favourite colour at the moment :-), the sentiment is also LOTV, the arrows are from a stamp set by - Stampendous - 'To The Point' (that i think my Canadian crafty friend / penpal sent me), gems are from 'Joy Crafts' and buttons are from 'The Ribbon Girls.

Hi,

Well what a week, i'll be so glad when Monday comes round and i can rest and chill out - this week has been to say the least full on - H has ridden my friends pony, been to the 'Weald And Downland' museum, been to see the butterflies in the glasshouse at 'RHS Wisley', had a fun afternoon at the local museum and today he is at the leisure centre, for the day, so i can go to 'The Glitter Pot' later for a card making class on hexagons ???

Please excuse me, if i haven't been able to get round to all your blogs this week, but will make it up to you at the weekend, as it's Alan's job to entertain H.

Butterfly Bear

Hi,

Well H did get a present from his 'Valentine' (well his best friend Chloe) - he got white and strawberry Thornton chocolate hearts, which he say's are 'gorgeous'. I thought 'Les Miserables' was good, but it didn't make me cry, and although the lovely 'Hugh Jackman'  (whom Alan and I were fortunate enough to see in 'The Boy From Oz' in New York, 8 years ago) was in it, he still can't sing as well as 'Alfie Boe', who just sends shivers down my spine. H and I are so busy this week, i'll need next week to recover !!!

I love this sweet image and it gave me a good excuse to use it, as there are a few 'Wing's' challenges around, papers are DCWV - 'Blossoms And Butterflies', Corner Die is MB - 'Macarena Corner', Sentiment is Woodware - 'Tiny Phrases', Butterfly Punch, MS -'Pop Up Butterfly' Butterfly Die - Cherry Lynn, I decided to matt it all on to Silver Mirror card, as it co-ordinated well with the papers.

Wishing ......

Hi,

This is going to be a very quick posting, as i'm off to the cinema this afternoon (H is at after school care) to watch 'Les Miserables' at 1pm - Alan didn't want to go and see it and i couldn't find a time when my friend Celia and i were both free and had babysitters !!! Alan gave me a huge card this morning and was going to buy me a necklace, but the only one they had left was on display and they wouldn't sell it to him !!!, and H wants to know where his card and chocolates are ?? - that's 6 year olds for you, thinks he's missing out on chocolate !!!

Today's card is based on a card by Lols 'S is for Shaped' from 2011 as the ABC Christmas Challenge where 'C is for CASE' - i loved the idea of making a circle card into a bauble and i thought the image (PB - 'Wishing .....', i've used glamour dust for the snow and have put glossy accents on the baubles) and papers (Echo Park -'Season's Greetings') were perfectly together, i've distressed the edge of the image with 'Tumbled Glass' and used Stickles 'Ice Crystals' round the edge of the scallop, star brad is from an old Papermania set.

Warm & Fuzzy

Hi,

H and his friend Chloe enjoyed 'Little Red Riding Hood And Others' - my favourite was the 3 Little Pigs.  It rained here all day Sunday, a good day to craft, after i had cleaned the bathroom and cleared up, especially as the boys spent all afternoon watching the England game !!, yesterday it snowed most of the day, but didn't settle, as it was far too wet !!

For today's card i fancied a change in colour from the red and pink Valentines cards i've done, in my stash of 12x12 papers i found My Minds Eye - 'Be Loved' (even the leaves are the same make), the roses are WOC, the leaves are cut using Sizzix - 'Flowers, Leaves And Branches', pearl flowers - Mei Flower (i think i got them from My Crafty Heart), heart punch is Woodware - 'Silhouette Punch', Ribbon from a very old Anita's sticky ribbon, sentiment LOTV.

Tokens Of Love

Hi,

Although it's sunny here, my goodness it is cold, brr brr - but then i shouldn't complain at least we haven't got snow, unlike Alan who has gone to Poland, where he say's it hasn't stopped snowing since he got there yesterday morning !!, fortunately he's back tonight.  H is doing 'Fairy Tales' at school, so tomorrow i'm taking him, along with my best friend and her brother to see 'Little Red Riding Hood' and a couple of others, so should be good for the little ones.

I like stamps, when you can decoupage them easily and this was one of them (i've used Labels 10 to stamp on), the papers are Basic Grey - 'Bittersweet', the dies are Memory Box - 'Corner Bow' and 'Precious Hearts' (i simply had to get, as i was being teased on a couple of blogs with it :-)), i've distressed the image with Tim Holtz - 'Picked Raspberry' (that i was fortunate enough to win in the lovely Brenda's candy and thanks hun, it's gorgeous too) and 'Spun Sugar', ribbon is from 'The Ribbon Girls'.

Lovable Mice

Well it's cold but sunny here and i'm just chilling out, after a busy weekend.

I'm so shocked and honoured, as i have just found out i've been picked as todays Daily Spot for Challenge 3-2-1, on Joanna Sheen's Challenge Blog and the card is here.

Today's image is one i saw on an auction site and thought mmm i like that, but i wasn't convinced it was a  PB, so i checked it out and found it was from 1997 and it's code was 716E, so a very old one, as you can see i was fortunate enough to win it and i have so enjoyed using it too.  The papers are Carta Bella - 'Devoted', I've used Sizzix - 'Easy Peasy' for the letters, the heart pearls were in a pack from 'The Works' and i've distressed it with Tim Holtz - 'Aged Mahogany'.

Ride Of Your Life

Hi,

Last night Alan and I had another 'date night' and this time we went to Dorking for a talk by the A-m-azingly talented 'Simon King' (he of 'Big Cat Diaries' and 'Springwatch'), he managed to make me laugh, think and cry about wildlife all in a couple of hours and at the end he took questions from the audience and one of the people asking was none other than Animal Royalty herself 'Virginia McKenna' (Founder and Trustee of 'Born Free').
'Shrek The Musical' was Br-ill-iant and we all had a good time, although very tiring and Alan nearly didn't make it, as his flight was an hour late landing, due to problems at Heathrow.

I love House Mouse and Gruffies, but as i don't have many, i thought i would treat myself to a set and i chose 'Ride Of Your Life', i wanted to highlight the image so it stood out, so i made a frame for it from Round The Page - MS - 'Modern Garland' (as i thought the circles look a bit like motorbike wheels) and i've teamed it up with My Minds Eye - 'Six By Six - Blink Of An Eye' papers, a couple of LOTV tag sentiments, brown twine and a motorbike charm.
