How Becoming

Hi,

Well as we had nice weather on Sunday OH and i decided to blitz the conservatory and sort out some of H's toys that he either doesn't play with anymore or has lost bits to it - it took us 3 hours and by did i pay for it yesterday, i was stiff as a board !!, but feeling heaps better today, thank goodness. OH has been in Berlin for 2 days, but will be home around 8.30 tonight, yipee.  Not sure if i'll have time to make another card this week, as i have got to clear the dining room table of craft items !!! and i have a class at 'The Glitter Pot' on Thursday afternoon - first one i have done in months.

Initially i wanted to make a card using the new PB London stamps - so i had a look round and found they were all sold out, serves me right for not buying them, when i saw them !!, oh well instead i have gone for the colours of my flag and i thought this image suited it well, plus there are a few Men's Challenges around at the moment.  The papers and ribbon are Doodlebug.

Hi,

Gee i'm so pleased it has finally stopped raining, if only for a couple of days, as H has come home twice this week with his PE kit on, as he had either jumped in a puddle or fell into a muddy patch and it's been a nightmare trying to get his clothes washed and dried !!!

The image i've used is very unloved, as i have never used it before - i guess i thought the flowers should be yellow, but recently i have seen the flowers coloured in other colours, so i thought i would give it a whirl, i've also teamed it up with some really old Papermania papers, even using some of the papers to cut out my Tattered Florals (another much neglected item !!!), the punched middle is MS.

X-mas Games !

Hi,

Well what an amazing Bank Holiday, weather wise we have all had - NOT, in fact the flipping sun had the cheek to show it's head for the first time at 2pm today !!!- gee what use is that i ask you ??? We went out yesterday in the drizzle to a Food Fair and today we went for a walk in an Arboretum, as they had a Bluebell walk on and we could take Whisper on the lead.

I must confess for an Xmas card, this is not the first one i normally pick up, but as there are a couple of Black And White Challenges on at the moment, it was ideal. I've embossed the 2 different sections with CB 'Ice Crystals' and 'Snowflakes' onto white pearlescent card corners and border are an MS 'Snowflake' punch - black card is Bazzill bling and sentiment is PB 'Crystalline'

In The Shed

Hi,

I'm pleased to say H is feeling 100% better and went back to school today - i woke feeling yukky yesterday, so OH had to work from home, as if i get sick with the tablets i'm on, i have to go straight to the doctors.  We have also managed to catch the squirrel, so at the weekend OH will be back in the loft stuffing 25mm chicken wire in the gaps between the connecting houses, just in case my delightful neighbour has any other surprises for us !!!

As i haven't made a male card for a while, i thought i would remedy that - and found this fabby image and some  MS papers - that i'm ashamed to say i've had for 3 years (bought in a Walmart in Houston) and never used !! and i don't know why as i love them with this image. I finished it off with some ribbon, buttons and twine.

Sunshine Hedge !

Hi,

This is going to be a very quick post, as whilst i'm typing this, i'm also keeping one eye on a certain 5 year old who was sent home from after school care, as he had been sick (right now he is fast asleep on the sofa), so he will be staying at home tomorrow.

I'm loving the bright cheeriness of this card - i hope you agree with me ?, i never thought for one minute i would ever end up using this cardstock, as it seems to have hung around my card box for ages, but it goes fabby with My Minds Eye, Lime Twist 'Life Of The Party' paper pad, the flowers were cut from the same papers, punch is MS 'ZigZag'.
