Favorite Time

Hi,

I must apologise in advance to my UK followers for the spelling of the title - but that's what PB call this stamp.  Thank goodness today has been nice weather, as H went on his first school trip to the local RSPB.  We have found a family of squirrels in our loft (they run between the 2 houses), and my neighbour who until 2 weeks ago, had let his house go to wrack and ruin and guess who has called in Pest Control today to deal with them and who will probably have to end up paying for the removal of them too !!!, we will be sending him a letter and asking for half, but i won't hold my breath though for payment !!!

In my box of images i came across this fabby image and matched it will some fabby Basic Grey 'Eskimo Kisses' papers, the sentiment is taken from a PB Transparent set and for the first time i've used a pin and 3 pink gem brads that have been hiding away in my stash.

Betsy Bluebell

Hi,

Why is it when Men (Sorry Kevin) are going away they can't organise themselves by writing a list and ticking it off ?, my OH is flying to Rotterdam for 4 days, so at 6.30am H and I got up, left the house at 7am and drove my OH to a station 25mins away, so he wouldn't have to park his car overnight, I then went to Tesco's quickly,  drove back to our village, to take H to school, then home to walk Whisper and after all that, i was shattered to say the least - got a text from OH to say he had left his glasses and flash drive at home ???, could i e-mail a document to him, so i then spent one and a half hours trying to attach a document, i was just on the verge of driving to my mates house 25mins away, when i managed to do it, thank Goodness !!!!

Today's card is based on a Challenge that was 'Yellow and One Other Colour' - I went for green, as i found some very old K & Co papers crying out to be used. I stamped out the image, then embossed it with CB 'Daisy Pattern', the edge round the frame is Memory Box 'Meridian Border' and i got the idea from the super talented  Debby, thank you. I have put glossy accents in the middle of the daisies on the image and papers. The punched edge in the corner is MS 'Floral Lace'

Today's Card and Challenges :

Holly & Globe

Hi,

Well i do apologise in advance, if there are any problems with this posting only Mr Blogger in his wisdom  not, has changed me onto the new system and i'm trying to find my way around it.
We've had a fabby free day out at today South Lodge (it's where Obahma had a meeting when he came over to the UK and it's very swanky indeed), they had an open day and laid on lots of activities - H decorated 3 cupcakes (a frog, hedgehog and chick).

I have seen this stamp embossed in Silver, but i thought i would give it a whirl in Gold (i've used mirror card, as the pearlescent looked dull against the image) and i'm so pleased with the result, as i think it looks just as good as the Silver. I've used 2 different embossing folders on the cream card and i've also used my much neglected CB 'Ice Crystal !!. Would you believe the brads started off 'Green', but i covered them in Versamark, dipped them in gold embossing powder and heated - hey presto, now Gold brads.

Today's Card and Challenges :

Crafty Hazelnuts - where Challenge No: 69 is 'Lots Of Layers'

Penny Black Saturday - where Challenge No: 198 is 'No Patterned Papers'

Fairies - Bouquet

Hi,

Well i said i was going off to craft, as the weather was so awful and i did !!, well i did manage to clean the bathroom as well.  There will be no more cards this week though as tomorrow i'm having my haircut and shoe shopping (can only really buy shoes from 'Hotter' these days, as feet are sensitive) and Friday i'm having a massage and blood tests.

I thought i would go for a Fairy today - i must confess i do not have this stamp, it was a free gift with a magazine, a couple of months ago, along with 19 other LOTV images - i'm not sure if i should have sparkled up the whole image (as the paper it was stamped on, is thinner then what i would normally use).  I decided i wanted the colour scheme to be green and blue and i nearly abandoned that thought until i found Basic Grey - 'Two Scoops' and the dreamy papers i was looking for.

Today's Card and Challenges :

Lili's Little Fairies - where the Challenge is 'Transport' and yes you can include Fairies

Totally Gorjuss - where Challenge No: 127 is 'Bling'

Bibliophile

Hi,

Well what a B*****Y awful day, so i'm going to hibernate, i've put the heating on, so it takes the dampness away and i'm just going to play and maybe, if pushed do some housework !!

As there were quite a few Men's challenges around i thought i would put this stamp to good use, plus I will be sending it to my FIL for Father's Day, as the little cat poking his head over the top of the chair reminds me of H, annoying his Grandad while he's trying to concentrate !!! The papers are about 5 years old, bought from the craft shop in my village (which has been shut down, now for over a year) and i've only used them once before and i don't know why, as they are great colours.

Today's Card And Challenges :

Penny Black Saturday - where Challenge No: 197 is 'Spots And Stripes'

Rainin' Daisies

Hi,

While watching the qualifying laps (pre-recorded) for the Chinese Grand Prix and The Grand National (isn't it sad that 2 horses were put down), i decided to make a card and chill out, as i'm shattered from a busy Easter Hols - i think the only 2 days we had lazy days with H were Monday (B/H when it rained all day) and Tuesday (waited in for Sky engineer all day, as H snapped the connection, but fortunately OH managed to fix it, when he got in) this week !!!

Ok, on some blogs their photos are a lot bigger than mine, anybody know how to make them bigger, please, thanks - Edited to say thanks Susan & Catherine for your help and now the photo is bigger, yipee.

I think it must be the steroid injection i've had, but i seem to becoming a bit dim lately !!, as i forgot about this cutie stamp, which is so suitable for an 'April Showers brings Spring Flowers' challenge uuhh and i teamed it up with some Basic Grey 'Lemonade' papers, i love the unusual colours they have used for the ladybirds ??, and because there is a hexagon theme on the papers, i thought i would also use my Hexagon Nesties (that don't seem to come out very often).

Today's Card and Challenges :

Simon Say's Stamp - where the Challenge is 'April Showers Bring Spring Flowers'

Papertake Weekly - where the Challenge is 'April Showers'

Cat Bath

Hi,

Firstly i would like to thank : KayJulesChristine / TillyClairSandraAnn and Janice for their fabby birthday cards.  I had a lovely birthday at RHS Harlow Carr, where we did a Easter Egg Hunt, whilst in Yorkshire we went to Xscape  and Elsecar Heritage Centre ( had to squeeze in a craftshop 'The Craft Box'), we came home on Sunday night, to avoid the madness on Monday !!

Has anyone upgraded their blogs yet ?, as i keep getting a message to upgrade, only thing is i had a wee look at it, and i prefer the old system.

I've used an old stamp today - dated 2000, it was put onto a transparent set, but i prefer the wooden   one, as it's a bigger design. The papers are also an old K & Co - 'Amy Butler Belle', the dies i've used are new : Labels 10 and Memory Box - 'Madera Corner', that i've added pearls too.

Todays Card and Challenges :

Paper Sundaes - where Challenge No: 115 is a 'Sundae Bar' - Kraft, Lace, Die Cut and Charm - the 2 i've used are Die Cut (Labels 10 and Madera Corner) and Lace

Allsorts - where Challenge No: 149 is 'Colour Bingo' -
I've gone for top row : Green, Lace, Pink and Diagonal : Pink, Stripes, Pearls

Totally Gorjuss - where Challenge No: 115 is 'It's A Sketch' and a fabby at that

CES - where Challenge No: 80 is 'Swirls and Pearls'

Snow Kiss

Hi,

Ok today's card will be the last one from me this week, as we are going up 'North' (well Yorkshire to be precise) for a few days so OH can see his family, especially his very talented / clever  Dad, who won The Sunday Times Magazine cartoon caption this week (so if any of you get it, check it out, as it's very funny) and also it will be my Birthday on Friday, so i will take the cards i have received already with me.

Today's stamp is one i bought in the Sir Stampalot sale at Xmas, as i didn't have any Mimi Xmas Stamps, and H (my son) picked this one out, as he likes Polar Bears. The papers i've had for a while and only used once before, i've seen several people using the Marianne D snowflakes, and loved them so much i had to treat myself to them and i'm so glad they did, as they look fabby covered in Stamping Up 'Dazzling Diamonds'

Today's Card and Challenges :

ABC Christmas  - where the Challenge is : 'F for Furry / Feathered Friends'

Winter Wonderland  - where the Challenge is 'It Takes Two'

Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas - where Challenge CHNC No: 66 is 'Get Sentimental'

Revolver Hero

Hi,

I just would like to start with saying a 'BIG THANK YOU' for all your wonderful messages and e-mails of support, they mean so much to me.

For today's card i thought i would try something 'New' - i have stamped onto Kraft using a fabby new stamp that  just happened to fall into my basket while i was shopping at 'Bunny Zoe's Crafts', after seeing a card that Dorcas had made, i loved her tutorial on how to colour on Kraft too, but as i use Twinkling H20's, i couldn't use it !!!.  I found some fabby cowboy papers, used my MS punch, found a charm, some twine, ribbon and a button and hey ho a card appeared.

Today's Card and Challenges :

CES  - where Challenge No: 79 is 'No Girls Allowed'

Papertake Weekly - where Challenge No: 66 is a Sketch by Dawny P

One Stitch At A Time - where Challenge No: 107 is 'New' - i've used a new stamp and a new technique for me, stamping on Kraft
