Hi,

Well i had a lovely day yesterday - son was in nursery for a snow day (when the snow came in December, he couldn't go to nursery, so they owed me a day) and i went to The Craft Barn - to spend my voucher that i had won in The Cuttlebug Blog Spot - with it i put it towards the new Kreate large Scallop circles, then i went to The Glitter Pot, where i did a class with the lovely Jackie Huckstepp.

Todays card is inspired by an advert !! - i went throught some old magazines and found an advert for 'Daz' saying the 'The Power Of Summer Flowers' with a sock in the middle and i thought i know i have the perfect stamp and papers for that !!! I embossed some flowers on the plain Basic Grey paper and managed to find a sentiment that blends in well, too.

Aaah January Sales - when i first saw this as the Challenge on Penny Black Saturday Friends, i thought i would use 1 of my Xmas Stamps that i purchased from Sir Stampalot & The Glitter Pot - but no my lovely friend Ann told me she had purchased some half price PB's from Whichcraft, so i checked out the site and  bought 3 wooden stamps and a Woodware Heart Silhoutte Punch (that i had been after for a while), they arrived Tuesday - the top paper was from Funky Farms sale and that and another 1 were the only 2 i was missing from the Bo Bunny collection.

Dragon

Hi,

Thanks for all those that asked, my arm is slowly starting to heal, hurts a bit still, though but i guess it will for a while.  I took son to get his pre-school injections this morning, as a treat this afternoon i took him to a local farm that has loads of activites there too, like tractor rides, horse rides, barrel rides, coming down a helter skelter and an animal show where he got to feed a young calf.

Well shock horror for todays card i'm not wait for it - - - using a Penny Black !!!, it's a Stamposaurus Dragon (that came with a Wizard) and i've had it that long, that they don't even sell it anymore !!!, i also needed a card for one of son's friends, as it's his birthday party on Sunday (oh what joy !!!).

Furry Embrace

Hi,

I was having a really good day yesterday, till about 5.40pm - i had my hair done, when i picked son up from nursery, he was in a really good mood, walked Whisper, then came home to sort son out for some tea, he wanted Jacket Potato with cheese and beans - well i had put a potato in oven, before we went out, so all i had to do was heat the beans !!!, so i put them in the microwave in a glass bowl, when it pinged i got them out, but for some reason the  bowl slipped out of my hand and hot bean sauce went all  over the inside of my right arm burn now it has settled down is about 1 1/2 inches long - i put it in a bowl of cold water and then put lavender oil on it and it seems a lot happier.

I must confess this is 1 stamp i don't have !!, i think my lovely friend Sioux let me stamp a couple the last time i was up in Warrington for The Crafty Devils meet.  The papers are something i have been after for ages a proper red and black collection for Valentines and i found them by chance whilst bloggging, so i did a quick search on the internet and they arrived last Thursday and i'm so pleased with them.

Hi,

Today we went to RHS Wisley - where they have butterflies in the glasshouse at the moment, they were fabby and it kept son and his friend happy all afternoon - result.

Todays card - mmm i really wanted to used the free image on the ABC Christmas Challenge of a penguin especially designed for them by Dustin Pike - but i wasn't able to, don't know if it's my inkjet or the fact i used twinkling h2o's, but it bled and looked awful, so i had to resort back to a PB instead - oh well it gives me a good excuse to buy some High Hope Stamps !!

Today i'm grabbing 5 mins to myself before i have to take son to soft play for an hour, then Little Rugby Academy, then on to Vodafone to cancel my contract.

Todays card started out with me agreeing to do a Penny Black Challenge over on Docrafts - my lovely friend Janice came up with the title of 'Nursery Rhymmes or Childrens Songs' - well after much discussing with son, as to what he wanted Mummy to do, we came up with -

Ok between you and me - don't tell OH i've made another card and that i'm on the computer again !!!, especially as last night i came upstairs to do a bit of blog hopping and promised i would be downstairs soon - i finally went downstairs at 10.45pm, he was not amused as we have about 3 programmes he could have watched on Skyplus !!!, oh well i'm sure he'll get over it :-)

After seeing my lovely friend Janice use this image the other day, it reminded me i had the stamp !!, and due to the fact this is only my 4th Valentines card and i have another 6 to make, i thought i had better make another one and as there are lots of Valentine / Love challenges around at the moment, it gave me a good excuse.  I also enjoyed doing the pink and grey (a colour i very rarely use and i don't know why ??) theme

Joy - Filled Stockings

Hi,

We had a fabby weekend up until 6pm yesterday (but more about that in a minute) - i did my class at The Glitter Pot and we made 2 Dotty cards and i learnt a new ribbon idea too, OH took son swimming and he swam underwater on his own and 4 widths on his back with a woggle (and he hates going on his back too), then yesterday we took Whisper for a 1 and 1/2 hour walk round the river bank and in the afternoon we met up with 1 of son's friends to go round a lake on his new scooter - then at 6pm son decided to put Daddys mobile phone that he got 1 month ago into a glass of juice and if phone company can't help him out or he can't claim on the insurance, then it's going to cost £400 to buy a new one - to say OH was less than impressed would be putting it mildly !!!!

Right todays card - i have used an stamp that i've had for about a year, but which is a such a cutie and i also had a rumage and found an old Sizzlits die, that i've had for about 2 years and don't think i've ever used !!! i bought the papers in The Glitter Pot sale on Boxing Day, but was a little disappointed, as when i went in there Saturday they had reduced them again - oh well i guess that's how the cookie crumbles, some you win and some you loose !!!

Piece Of My Heart

Hi,

I'm feeling a little sorry for myself today, as i finally had a cap fitted to one of my teeth yesterday and it's still feeling a little tender - to cheer myself up, i'm doing a class tomorrow morning with the lovely Jackie Huckstepp at The Glitter Pot - i haven't done a class for ages, so i thought i would treat myself, as OH will be at swimming with son.

With todays card i've used some of my favourite papers 'Bo Bunny' and a cute little image, that i'm not sure that i've used before? i've layered it onto brown co-ordinations card and then lightly sanded it, to make it more gentler - i embossed the plain paper with Cuttlebug Hearts - i intially wanted to do a challenge using red roses paper, but i didn't have any, so i had to compromise, but i love how it has come out.

Candy Cane Perch

Hi,

Life seems to be slowly getting back to normal (well whatever normal is with a 4 year old boy !!) - everybody seemed to enjoy the party and their party bags ( i don't do plastic toot and rubbish, so i gave each child a 'Snail and The Whale'  activity books - another book by The Gruffalo author),  son also got some very nice presents.  All his friends seem to be into pirates, so i will have to scout round for a suitable image, as i have some Karen Foster papers already !!!

Sorry my first Christmas Card for 2011. I bought todays image just before Xmas, when The Glitter Pot had it for half price - i originally wanted the stamp with the bear pulling a tree, but when son saw this he decided mummy should buy it and to stop him from creating i bought it and now i'm really pleased i did.  The punch is also new, but the papers and ribbon i've had for ages, as the papers look vintage, i also decided to distress them.

Well in the madness of todays birthday party for 4 year old son, that starts at 2pm (so half of this post is being done now at 12pm and i'm sure the rest will get done later !!!), i have some how managed to find time to (it was my way of destressing) make this cute card.

When i saw a challenge saying Pink, Red and White with the option of hearts !!, i knew exactly which paper i was going to use - Doodlebug - Love Potion with the gorgeous red velvet hearts on it, (i'm hoping the photo has picked it up) - the image is one i received in the a swap and it's a sweetie. I've also got for some texture - embossed hearts, red velvet paper and ribbon - that i've had for about 2 years, bought it in a sale as you do and have never used it until now !!!

Birthday Bear

Hi,

Well i can't believe it, i've hit the dizzy heights - this is my 100th Posting !!!

My peace was disturbed last night when a certain 3 year old and OH came home !! and little one was so excited as he had been to Headingly to see 'Leeds vs Gloucester' (Rugby Union) and Leeds won fortunately, as my OH's brother in laws son plays for them and he took son on the pitch to meet the players.

Todays card is a bit different for me, in the fact that i have used a LOTV image (that i received in a blog candy win), and it's a cutie (will definetly have to go and purchase it) - i've tried a new method for me 'Paper Distressing' - i've had the Tim Holtz tool for a couple of months and have never been braver enough to use it, until now and i like the effect - intially i was also a bit worried that i might have over distressed the image with inks, as there was a section of Tea Dye, that seemed a bit darker than the rest, but after adding Spun Sugar and Victorian Velvet, it now seems to tone in with the colour of the flowers on the paper, what do you think ?

Baby Hammock

Hi,

I'd just like to say a Happy New Year to all of my followers and friends - I know for some of you 2010 was not a good year, so i'm hoping 2011 will be better for you.

I spent New Year on my own with Whisper, as OH and son went up to Yorkshire to see family - i stayed behind so i could prepare for a certain little boy turning 4 tomorrow and to sort out his party which is next Sunday - you know the things wrapping up pass the parcel and sorting out goody bags - i don't do plastic rubbish, so instead each child instead has got a 'Snail and the Whale' (written by Julia Donaldson, she wrote 'The Gruffalo') activity books.

You may recognise this cute stamp from the stash i bought at the NEC in November, so when Clair said the Challenge over on Valentines Monthly Challenge  for January was 'New Beginings' (where you have to use at least 1 Stampin Up product) - i knew exactly what stamp i wanted to use.
