A Little Purple Cutie !!!

Hi,

Well I'm back - Last week,  I was in the lovely county of Somerset, in a cottage on a small farm and it got the thumbs / paws up from son and Whisper (the dog) although my OH and I had a fabby time, we have definetly come home for a rest !!! - anyway whilst I was there I was fortunate enough to meet up with the lovely Sandra, Kay, Tanya and Angie Babes and we had a bit of a crafting session - thanks girls for taking the time out, it was great to meet you all and have a few laughs !!!

On to todays card - when i saw that 1 challenge was purple & silver and another was Stars (plus it gave me a chance to use my CB Starts folder) that was it for me - 2 of my favourite things together, yipee !!!

Lazy Days

Hi,

If a challenge mentions a Man's card, i always end up doing a 'Dog' ( I think it's something to do with the 4 paws and wet nose, who lives with us !!!) card and today is no exception !!! I've also wanted to use this image for ages and have never quite found the right papers or sketch, but i have now.

I have put a charm on my card, although i don't have any chain - tried to order some from Bunny Zoes Craft last week and whilst i was deciding which size rings to order - they had sold out, typical !!!,

Santa - But Not As You Know Him !!!

Hi,

Firstly i would just like to thank the ladies at Winter Wonderland who picked me to be in their Top 3 for For Me There Will Only Ever Be 1 Snowman !! - wow it was an honour, thanks.

I did also start this card yesterday at The Crafty Devils, but unfortunately i couldn't finish it as i managed to pour water over my base card - silly me !!!

Right todays title well the lovely Squirrel got me into a little tizz - when she decided the new
ABC Christmas Challenge  should be S for Santa - but no 'Red' - well even my 3 year old thinks Santa only wears Red - then i had a think about it and came up up with Non Red, Luckily for me !!

Girly, Glitter And Use Some Scraps !!!

Hi,

Well that was the challenge Patsi - set us at The Crafty Devils at Warrington yesterday !!!  So i used a PB image i had with me, a piece of scrap (the strip bit), flowers were made from a scrap of bazzill bling, that i punched using Sharon's daisy punch and Nat kindly let me have some of her Coredinations green card for the background !!!

It was also lovely so see Shell (who taught me how to make some super flowers that i will try out, as they are so easy, but effective, thanks hun), Gill and Carla - i wish i lived closer than a 5 hour drive from you girls, as i would visit you more often, but unfortunately i have to link it up with a weekend away and this time it was via Thomas The Tank Engine Land (Drayton Manor) and West Yorkshire - as we had promised son he could go to see Thomas as a treat for going to nursery for 10 days, whilst i was doing jury service.

Ginger - I Don't Think So, More Dark Brown !!

I know a bit of a weird title - but you'll understand when i explain i have used the PB stamp 'Ginger' !!!

Oh the dilema i was in with this card - how to combine 2 of my favourite things PB and Basic Greys and their challenges (especially when i'm so used to picking up a BG pad and picking 2 / 3 papers out of it, where this time, i've had to use 3 different pads and it felt so weird !!), but i finally have and i'm really pleased with how it's turned out.

So here's the Card and Challenges :

Basic Grey Challenges  - where Challenge No: 28 is 'Paper Piecing' (which i love doing) the paper piecing is her dress

Penny Black Saturday Friends - where Challenge No: 117 is 'Purple, Cream and Brown'

Sketch and Stash - where they up to Sketch No: 43 and what a fabby sketch it is too and just what i was looking for, thanks

I would normally just stamp the image in Black, but as the challenge required brown - i thought i would do stamp some of the image in black and the shoes and lace at the bottom of her dress in brown

Cute And Small

Hi,

I don't normally make cards that are small or round - but as there were a few challenges around i thought i would give it a go and also it means another Valentines card (i need 10 and with this one i have 5), that i can send to Craftyjoy / SOS card appeal (the address is on the right hand side of my blog) for the troops and they need to be sent by November !!! I have just sent 10 Christmas Cards, so i'm really pleased i started them early !!!
