Teddies In Love

Boy what a couple of days - i'm so exhausted, i don't know why i'm posting this now ???, it should have been completed last night, but unfortunately my 3 year old had other ideas !!!, he had gone to the freezer in the garage Monday night for an ice lolly and did not close the door properly - on Tuesday evening i found a huge puddle on the floor and lots of defrosted food - and i so hate throwing away good food, so i spent from 3pm - 7pm today cooking dinners to then be able to refreeze - i managed to use : lamb steaks, turkey steaks, cod, salmon, and a cooked joint of beef (i'm not refreezing that).

Before i get onto the card, i have just found out that i have won some blog candy from the lovely Squirrel, who chose my ABC Challenge  card to win her half way blog hop, yipee thanks hun.

My card,  i have had this stamp for a while, but have never used it and i keep looking at what my lovely friend Janice / Fluffles has done with the images i have sent her, that i thought it was about time i made something with it.

Gee what am i like - the hotest day of the year so far and i'm uploading Christmas Cards !!! and not watching England play in the football - doesn't interest me, i'd much rather watch rugby or F1.

Rambling Teddy

Hi, Well i picked the car up last night and then got into a panic and OH had to drive it home - I have driven it today though and like anything new, it will take a while to get used to it.

Right on to todays card, need to get this uploaded now, otherwise the challenge will finish and it took me up and till yesterday deciding on what paper to use !!!, i have done paper piecing on it too and i'm really happy with the way it has come out - i did follow a sketch but the challenge run out 3 days ago !!!, oh well, that's what you get for being indecisive !!!

Ahoy Sailor

Wow what a week - i have driven 350 miles (coming from someone who normally does 130 miles a week !!!).

Saturday drove to Newhaven for the Mencap event - a little disappointing, 1 of the organisers didn't do the advertising - we still raised £100 though and we will probably do another 1 later in the year.
Sunday - Singleton - Weald and Downland Open Air Museum - as they had a special Fathers day event on
Monday - Chessington - they do special Parent and Toddler days for £13.50 - bargain, so went with a friend and her children and my son - unfortunately it took 1 hour and 40 mins to get home !!!
Tuesday - Cardmaking in Saltdene
Wednesday - Crawley to pick up dress from Next, as it was out of stock everywhere else

Phew i'm shattered now and this afternoon i pick up my new car - that has climate control (yipee, as i'm so fed up with getting out of my present car looking like a cooked chicken !!!)

Butterfly Bear

Wow what a busy weekend i have planned - tomorrow (Saturday) is the cardmaking fundraising event for Mencap in Newhaven and we are hoping it's going to be busy so we can raise lots of fun for a very worthy charity.  Then around 4.30pm the road i live in are having a few nibbles and drinks get together, so all the neighbours can get together and meet each other - we went last year and it was very enjoyable and nice to put names to faces. On Sunday is of course Fathers Day, so we will be going out for the day.

To me summer is all about seeing butterflies flying around and settling on all the lovely flowers - i don't use them a lot on cards, because that was all we seem to make when i first started cardmaking 5 years ago !, so i guess however lovely they are on cards, you can have overload !!

Right todays card has been made for the very talented Angie over on Docrafts, who so kindly made my gorgeous header and banner and i have been a naughty crafter and not sent her a thank you cards yet, sorry hun.

Where's Dinner !!!

Where's Dinner - now this is exactly the same expression Whisper (my dog) gives me at least 6 times a day !!! This image is also special to me, as it's one of the first stamps i bought and yet i don't use it as much as i should.

Boy On Bike

Hi, Well i had a fabby surprise this morning my lovely friend Mel, from Sydney rung me to thank me for her lovely birthday card that i had sent her for her 60th Birthday (although i hadn't realised she had reached that milestone), i met the lovely Mel and her equally lovely Mum (Alma, but i call her Edna, as she so sounds like her !!) - 6 years ago on a trip to Tasmania and we have been good friends ever since and she and her husband Geoff are my 3 year old son's adoptive grandparents - one day soon hopefully we will be nearer to them, as i miss them so much.

On The Beach !!!

Wow what a week, i'm so glad weather is starting to cool down ( i know i'm a bore), as it has played havoc with my migraines, so much so that quack (doctor) wants to put me on Beta Blockers to control them - not sure about that !!!.  Plus i managed to rip half of my big toe nail off, oh joy !!!, it's ok just a bit tender.

We went to our villages Country Fair yesterday and what we saw of it was good - unfortunately after being pushed and shoved several times, we decided to leave !!!
